Re: MorningStar
Here's one. It doesn't have any code, so it should apply to most languages. I haven't used it, so I don't know how helpful it'll be, but it couldn't hurt to take a look.Jaye wrote:There is no help on battle systems anywhere - not just for Ren'Py. It's difficult.

Re: The Life of a Pacifist
Well, I played it and now I'm confused. So, is the story's theme that generic, "follow-the-leader" type stuff is bad? Because it kind of sends mixed messages about that, you know? I love all those things that make you think outside the bun or whatever you call that... That would be "t...

Re: Worst or most disappointing game you ever bought
(Apparently the version of Tactics on the PSP is updated in more than just graphics, as well, but I doubt I'd re-buy it myself if I owned the PSX original...) They also redid the (apparently) awkward script, and gave it a more archaic feel. Which means using the word "mayhap" whenever pos...

Re: Naming your Brand/Company
I remember back when I took Multimedia Design, the professor really liked the name one student came up with, which I believe was "Studio Orange". I think what he liked about it was the combination of a common, easy to remember English word, combined with the word "studio", which ...

I'm assuming by "the visual novel engine" you're referring to Ren'Py? If so, the download link is here.

Well, how similar are the plots to each other? You could always make a branching story that incorporates both plot lines.

Unless it was different in older versions of Photoshop, that is the pixel size for Photoshop. I don't know about SAI, though.linkdragon0 wrote:Can I get a pixel size for those brushes?

Mecha? Combining mecha? This project makes me happy.
Although, when I hear the name Nia I think of a certain other combining mecha series... I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it's something to take into consideration, I think.Enigma wrote:Enter Nia

I seem to recall there's a more-recent 'Rebuild of Evangelion' series of movies, but I've not seen any of them nor have been particularly following news (are they even released?) so I can't comment. The first two (of four) have been released. The first is more or less a nicer looking remake of the ...

Couldn't you just use some kind of magic wand tool? It'd take about the same amount of time.iAsobu wrote:Lines + Color = Ability to bucket fill, saving time.

Heres what i had to show you # The game starts here. label start: menu begin_menu: "Prologue": jump Prologue_1 "Act 1" if act_1: jump Act_1: I'm no Ren'Py expert, but I don't believe "menu" should have a name, and "jump" doesn't need a colon at the end of it....

Re: Worst or most disappointing game you ever bought
Terrible games? Yeah, I got terrible games. I got the Gameboy Color version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game for Christmas. They decided that doing skateboard tricks is boring, so they made it a racing game instead. All the characters are the same person with different coloured hair. Neverwinter Night...

But not all country/culture takes that way. At least in where I am now, virginity is something sacred. There's even a case where a husband divorce his wife (in their first night) when he knows she is not virgin anymore. Over-reacting? Perhaps yes, but completely understandable... I guess it's becau...

Isn't vector an art style rather than a file format? O_o Unless I'm totally misunderstanding his post Vector graphics are displayed based on mathematical equations, as opposed to raster graphics , which are displayed based on a grid of pixels. As far as I'm aware, Ren'Py does not support displaying...
