Re: Man hair!

I hereby decree that all bipeds must have swishy hair between eyebrow- and ankle-length, regardless of gender, age, or species. (Yes, this includes velociraptors. Just because they're hairless reptiles doesn't exempt them from fashion! \(>,<)/ )

Re: You ever worry your work won't be taken seriously?

This topic describes precisely what I worry about when I'm not worrying about getting my wonderfultastic projects done in the first place. (I've wondered about finding distribution channels where people might be less knee-jerk dismissive, possibly due to reduced familiarity with creepy eroge. "...

Re: Sprite Question

How close to Player-kun does Sprite-chan feel comfortable standing? That's a deeply cultural sort of thing, isn't it? (Tangent: I heard somewhere that Americans have the largest personal space bubbles in the world. I'm not sure whether I believe it as a blanket statement, considering how often peopl...

Re: Fanservice for women?

Hmm, if fanservice refers to the little touches you can add for attraction purposes without affecting the story, the only thing mentioned so far that would fit that definition for me is the Western period clothing, particularly 18th to early 20th century. I don't care one way or the other if an att...

Re: Anime anatomy: Man nipples in VN sprites and other art?

Heh, amusing topic. :)
I don't especially care how folks draw their shirtless men, but I know I always forget to draw the nipples myself because the vast majority of the shirtless men I've seen in my lifetime happened to be stylized drawings. ^_^;

Re: What makes a girl character attractive?

Can the Alice in the Madness Returns video be my waifu without my being male or a lesbian? o////o Um...er...topic! Right, the topic. I seem to have a slightly higher tolerance for spineless moeblobs than the general populace because it's my typical disguise among mortals and I can thus somewhat empa...

Re: F**k this, what's the point?

Reactions to various approaches: *BEEEEEP!*: *snerk!* <--probably the intended effect String of Perls, or !@#$%^&*: I guess I prefer this one in most contexts, as it's not often that the specific words are important. It's usually enough to know that the characters are swearing. Partial covering:...

Re: Always Bishies....(In Otomes anyway)

I'm having some trouble understanding the intrinsic connection between Generic Cuteness and predictability implied in this topic... (Irrelevant note: When I don't find the characters in a game physically attractive, I usually assume that the artist is either inexperienced at drawing or attracted to...

Re: How do you draw anime characters in profile

I suppose you might want to memorize how a generic anime character of a given gender and age group "should" look in an particular style and then adjust it based on the information you have about an each character's front-view features. That might require collecting side-view pictures from...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

Why can't the excuse "Because I like it and it's cool" be enough? Why can't men be angry at all the flowery portrayals of males in otome games and bl games (what women want), but women can be angry about sexy innocent women (what men, and sometimes women like me, want). I'm honestly angry...
