Maybe it's because visual novels are called games everywhere in japanese and I'm so used to seeing them being called so that anything else would feel weird, but I just can't see the use for such a change... I don't think it's worth the trouble. Myst was a game? Then I don't see why Gin'iro can't be ...

Interesting, I like the new setting... Hmm, am I mistaken if I assume that you're a Yoshizumi Wataru fan? Somehow your style looks like hers, especially the SD characters (that's a good thing, mind you). As for the ending, doing what you feel will look right usually gives the best results. I'd vote ...

It's always a romantic relationship, never a loving one. Again, it depends on what the story is about. I don't really play many sims (only TokiMemo, in fact), but I'd expect most of them to follow the "building up romance -> first date/kiss/sex/whatever -> happy ending" formula. On the ot...

There are no DS/VN games that in fact deal with relationships past the point of starting dating/having first sex. It all ends there. You win the girl's heart, good ending. I'm curious about what makes you say that. Many go on for a while even after you "win" the girl (or guy), it's all a ...

-The term bishoujo game is pretty broad; as the name suggests, anything having to do with pretty girls is technically bishoujo. However, it often referes to an adult PC game. Non-adult are often called galge , from "gal game", while adult ones are also caller eroge . -A ren'ai adventure ( ...

Hmm, honestly, I don't know... I guess I have mixed feelings about that one. The concept is good, but concepts and real life are two completely different things, and a MMO game of that nature can easily go downhill. So I'm not really holding my hopes up... On the graphic side of things, the way the ...

Does that mean they are dropping their demo-only translations? Good news I guess... Probably not... It's a doujin game aviable on the Stage Nana homepage , so there's no problem with people illegally downloading it since it's already free. And, it's not overdepressing, rather more contemplative tha...

So they'll translate it after all... Just finished playing through it, it was rather good. Pretty moving too, just my kind of story. Then again, how could one not like a story that opens with statistics on the number of suicides and that is described as "modern, dark, both the heroin and the pr...

Thanks, the transition problem is now fixed~ But using multiple spaces in a row is the first thing I tried and it didn't work, prompting me to edit my first post and add the question. I've also tried to use a text variable, but the text %(doublespace)s appeared instead of the double space. And, I'd ...

Hmm... Nope, no name conflict either. Then again, if both blinds and squares were buggy in non 800x600 mode, I guess custom transitions made by using them as template wouldn't work either, so it might just be an effect of what you fixed... And, I'm using 5.0, but what I'm trying to do is in the main...

Well, that's the thing, the picture is 640x480 too... It was originally 640x480, worked fine when integrated to the 800x600 demo, and not at all in my project. Furthermore, I tried setting the demo to run on 640x480 and it had the odd effect of preventing all of the ImageDissolve transitions from wo...

ImageDissolve not working?

Nyeah, dumb problems again >.> I liked the ImageDissolve transitions in the demo, played around with them and made a few of my own, and everything was working just fine. And then, as soon as I try replacing a few of the old transitions in my project with ones that use ImageDissolve... it doesn't wor...

But although I'm a big fan of the KimiNozo anime, I heard the game was really twisted... Well, it featured pretty much every kind of story a bishoujo game could feature, so while the main stories were mostly ren'ai, there was also a lolicon path and a sex slave path, as well as... some pretty creep...

Some people elsewhere are pretty annoyed about that, though, since Hirameki does strictly non-H and they don't want to see censored versions... Well, KimiNozo already has both a dreamcast and PS2 version (both non-H, of course), so I guess they would port those instead. As for Tsukihime [/i], it wa...
