Re: Animated lips and eye blink help!
--- Anyone got any ideas? One way would be to have a separate animation that you use only for short dialogue lines. It will run through the animation only once and then stop at the last frame in the animation. So you just repeat the frames as many times you need in the animation to get the length y...

Re: help! simple problem
The dialogue line should not be part of the python block.
Code: Select all
python:
name = renpy.input("What's your name?")
name = name.strip() or "You"
d "Oh, [name], what a wonderful name! I'm Domrick, by the way."

Re: Animated lips and eye blink help!
Oh my god, sweet! I got it to work now. It's repeating nicely. --- Glad to hear that :) --- The main problem I'd still really need help solving now is how to stop the lip animation when the characters line is finished. Is this very hard to accomplish? --- show selina_cold lip sync s "bla bla b...

Re: Animated lips and eye blink help!
Sorry, but you defined selina_cold lip sync... and you don't show it... I don't know how :( ---- I'm also is pretty new to Ren'py and python (but have a fair amount of experience in other engines and languages) so I hope I don't botch things up to badly now :) 'selina_cold lip sync' is an animated ...

Re: Sprite sizing help? (Sorry if already answered or if it's in the wrong thread)
--- This is kind of what I needed...! Is there a way you can make "1" zoom out/be resized to show waist up and not the whole body? My idea of your example of "1" is a headshot view of a sprite as if the character is standing right in front of you. The principle is the same. You ...

Re: Sprite sizing help? (Sorry if already answered or if it's in the wrong thread)
--- I think I meant to ask if should I use a bigger canvas that's two times the height/width of the Renpy screen 1280x720? So the original image would be in better quality for closeup sprites, and for non-closeups I would just have to rezise? Also with the half-size code you mentioned, then can you...

Re: Sprite sizing help? (Sorry if already answered or if it's in the wrong thread)
I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. If you are asking how to resize an image in-game, you can use 'zoom'. If you have an image named Betty you can show Betty at half-size using this code. show Betty: zoom 0.5 And that question should probably have been asked in the Ren'Py Q a...

the Ghost Pilot [ww1 drama kinetic] RELEASED
This is my first attempt at using Ren'py. I've made a number of games earlier in different systems with their pros and cons. I'm here returning to a character I have used earlier in one comic and two games. Jacqueline White. Eye of the Tiger https://pekj.deviantart.com/art/e-comic-Jacqueline-White-E...
