Re: Heart of Fire
It's strange but in the end I was able finish the game. First I tried what you suggested but the save wouldn't even load. Then I tried to figure out what's wrong by editing the code a bit and succeeded exactly once to get past the battle... just to get the battle again, and then it crashed again. In...

Re: Heart of Fire
Doesn't fix it for me. Still crashes for me the same way. I attached save from before the battle, maybe it will help.Scout wrote:Try putting this in, I think it should fix your problem... but I'm not 100% sure.
So far I liked the game, so I hope I will be able to finish it.

Re: is there a point in making foreign language games?
I think the difficulty of translating depends how well you know the languages you're translating from and to. So when I was translating from English to Czech it wasn't that hard (mikey helped me a lot though). The main problem with translating is that it's time consuming. And it takes a LOT of time ...

denzil >> updated the list (Enerccio >> well, denzil used vizualni novela as the first person back in 2006 I think ^_^ the pioneer, so to say - but I still don't like it very much - on the other hand it sounds a little bit cooler in Czech). Warning: I have a cold and I'm high on menthol candies, so I can't guarantee the quality of the translation. Also it wasn't tested on humans.

This translation was a pleasant surprise. I played the English version before, but there was no way I could resist to play the the translation. And it was really nice.
Congratulations to mikey for a nice translation of a nice game.

Re: Ren'Py on Windows 95
I gave it a try and it actually seemed to work well (in Virtual PC). Scite didn't work, it was missing a dll, but that would be probably easy to fix. So you can probably run RenPy games on Windows 95 as well as develop them there. I tried only RenPy 6.6.0, no idea about the other versions.

This could help (not sure if it really helps, but it's wort trying):
Click Start menu, then Run. Inside type: dxdiag
then press Enter.
Click last tab, there's button to overwrite refresh.

Yes, it's supposed to be opened with RenPy. Probably some RenPy change since when I last worked on it. Fixed file attached, just replace the original one with it.Vatina wrote:I tried your beta, but for some reason it wouldn't work for me. I'm supposed to open it with renpy, right?
