Re: Keepsake (BxG/Comedy/Romance/Supernatural/School)
Create the story you want to create. It should not matter when or where it occurs. Also, I'd advice against imitating a general category or aesthetic. It *might* lead to your finished work being called an imitation. It's never easy to say what fiction is considered too similar to other published wo...

Re: Keepsake (BxG/Comedy/Romance/Supernatural/School)
-snip- It will be Commercial, but you can expect some free side stories, spin-offs, and alternate universes to seep out into the world before we get close to release. Part of the reason is because there are a lot of stories that I want to tell with these characters, but clearly not all of which fit...

Re: A few free gradient textboxes (With Image Buttons!)
You're welcome. Glad you'll be getting use out of the template. The whole reason thats there is in case someone likes the over all design, save for maybe with one single detail ingrained into it that's nagging at their conscience. Like say the leaf icon thats in most of them.

I
I___This.
I was in the midst of typing up paragraphs explaining it, but a single coherent sentence put it in a simplified manner that I couldn't.

These are great! They fit just about every purpose I need music for (Writing scenes to a certain mood), so they should hold me down until I get a musician for my project! Thank you!

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c59/Rubberpenguin/TextboxSample.png Hehe, there you have it. My first sneak peak of one of the characters in my upcoming VN! Oh, yeah, this thread has nothing to do with that, does it? Anyways, I'm here to drop off some gradient text boxes I've been playing around ...

Re: Unemployed... Should you get a job or Sell Visual Novel?
Why not both? It's not like selling (or do you mean MAKING) visual novels must be a full time job. You can find job and while at that, start making visual novels and raking up experiences. It's always nice to have options ;) You could do both at once but focus more on getting a stable job. I third ...

Re: Visual Novel Based on the Gospels?
I've had thoughts of reviving mythic stories from celtic folklore in the kinetic novel format before. I mean how awesome would it be to see something like Childe Rowland, in the story's original heroic spirit, be translated in a more modern anime/visual novel medium? (Assuming I avoid watering it do...

David Arkenstone when I write fantasy. Otherwise, whatever else seems to fit with the theme of the scene I am writing for.

Re: Visual Novel Engine Selection?
I use visual novelty to see how things look so I could get a consistent pacing for writing scenes out as I go along without having to take myself out of the writing mindset to code, but Ren'Py is probably my engine of choice in the end, as not only is it fairly easy to understand, but fully supporti...
