Re: Hentai in Western countries
Borders sells porn? I admit I haven't been living in the US recently but I find this rather hard to believe. edit: Hrm, a websearch suggests that they do sell adult comics, shrinkwrapped. I suppose perhaps those are considered to fall more in the 'art' category (most big bookstores have always sold...

Re: Hentai in Western countries
Hentai isn't taboo in the USA. It's treated the same as live action porn. And yes, there are events like Comiket, but the doujin market isn't as large, and they probably don't sell hentai doujin there.

Generally, I've found the software there to be pretty obscure.Hudzon wrote:Maybe that's just me, but I'm not sure how useful such a site is, seeing as people who are determined enough to get free software would either download it illegally or search for open source alternatives.

Re: Anyone here know Chinese?
kanji should work. Mine is a little rusty, but I come up with 踊女 as well. Kanji should mean the same thing in Chinese (unless you use the japanese created ones). I don't know much Chinese, but I looked up 踊, and it seems to mean "jump" in Chinese. Unlike the Japanese reading, it doesn't s...

Ren"y has a lot better English Documentation. Don't you need KAG to make stuff with kirikiri?

I believe the sources of Ren'Py are available, if you want to add the feature yourself.

Re: Motivation for Ren'py
Open Source developers aren't like Proprietaries. They end up providing alternatives (like OpenOffice and MS Office, or SciTE and Notepad). In this case, Ren'Py could act as an alternative to kirikiri, or minori's engine (of which I like do to the animated backgrounds).

My theory is: If agreed to different companies: 1.) The components go the companies of which contacted each individual. ex. the company with nabbed jane would get the art, while the one that took joe would get the code or 2.) They would have to revoke the transactions, or give out certain localizati...

Re: Poll: what settings appeal most to you?
Personally, I've had enough of games that don't happen in the present day. It seems that other than GTA, most games are taking the easy route and giving a different time period. Of course, VNs usually use the present theme, but I like that. It's one of the reasons why I got hooked on them, a differe...

Re: Is it normal for a guy to like BL?
Maybe I'm wrong but I think everyone is interpreting the question as "Is it okay for a guy to like BL?" which I don't think is really the same as being normal. Being normal just means you're just like the majority of the people. So truthfully it is not normal for a guy to like BL. However...

Re: Is it normal for a guy to like BL?
It's normal. Even I do it. Not as far as yaoi, but Shounen-Ai manga happens to be one of the types that I read. Think of it like this, He's heterosexual, but taking a small dip into the homosexual world. It'll build a better understanding and tolerance. It's a good thing.
