Re: The Dreamweaver [Fantasy, Kinetic] [NaNoRenO 2016]

The background looks really cool! Mystical is definitely a good word for it. uvu More of the purple light/shadow on the pillars could help to unite everything. Thanks, I'm glad you like it. :D I thought so as well, the pillars really stand out from the rest, but I got a bit annoyed working on that ...

Re: A Dragon's Heart [NaNo2016][BxB][Fantasy]

Sprites are looking good! :D how do you feel about a character route that only has a bad end? If done properly it could be pretty interesting, as long as it's a complete ending with story, cg's and all, and not just "sucks, you died" or something. XD the black silhouette idea is good but i...

Re: The Dreamweaver [Fantasy, Kinetic] [NaNoRenO 2016]

I really love Kali's design, the way you drew her curls and the folds on her clothing is so pretty!! I also really like that BG gosh. It feels so mystical! Hey, thanks a lot, it was supposed to be a random sketch but I quite like it myself, so I'll probably end up using it as one of the templates f...

Re: The Dreamweaver [Fantasy, Kinetic] [NaNoRenO 2016]

1. I usually avoid KN but this, I would play. :D 2. Your background is actually pretty, very nicely done. They aren't bad at all, and for a first time, it's just great. :D Heck, mine was phenomenally...bad your eyes would probably bleed if you look at it. ._. It's great to know you'd give it a shot...

Re: A Dragon's Heart [NaNo2016][BxB][Fantasy]

you will most definitely see an awkward Luca (i love awkward characters too) i will also try to add in a nice amount of choice but since its a first time project i might not be able to implement them in at this moment in time but i will try. Luca in most cases will probably be the sub/bottom, as mu...

Re: A Dragon's Heart [NaNo2016][BxB][Fantasy]

How do you feel about the premise of this story? It sounds interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing the siblings interactions and finding out about the worlds lore and such. Who do you like from the characters so far? Luca. His face is adorable and he seems like he'd be awkward. I like awkward. W...

Re: The Dreamweaver [Fantasy, Kinetic] [NaNoRenO 2016]

I'm glad people are showing interest! Thanks guys, means a lot to me! :D I'm bad at online communication, and a friend told me to use exclamation marks and smileys so I don't sound emotionless :"D I enjoy "short, odd fantasy," so I'll be sure to follow the progress of this one. What t...

Re: Your opinion about stats in dating sims

maybe everytime you go fishing you get trivias that can become conversational materials for the fisherman's son? That's similar to my idea of it, as you said, when your stats determine your affection with a character it just seems like they're not interested in your protagonists personality, but nu...

Re: NanoReno 2016

Recently hopped aboard the visual novel making train, with some ideas still in the early concept stages, and of course, I had to impulsively decide to solo two game jams. :") Keeping it small and kinetic for NanoReno, however, which hopefully poses a feasible goal. Good luck to everyone partici...

Re: Magical Otoge Ciel [Free] [GUI Update 1/23/16]

First of all, great game, I played it a while ago, without the updates, but I didn't even have an account here back then, so when I finished playing the updated version, thought I'd leave a little comment. :) First thing I wanted to comment on, ever since the first "Chumpy" line was 'Hell ...

Re: MultiPersistent data wont carry over?

If everything is happening as if the variables are TRUE, then that's probably because the data hasn't been deleted properly. (As opposed to everything happening as if the variables are FALSE, in which case one would suspect the MP data not being properly saved.) Try manually deleting the MP object ...

Re: Moving sprites on screen?

I personally recommend trying out the "outdated" information, since it works fine most of the time, at least in my experience. I haven't tried implementing tile engine, but it seems simpler and more efficient than anything else I could come up with (e.g. a bunch of imagemaps or buttons) Al...

Re: Any advice on creating a gender-neutral visual novel?

Well, it really depends on how you go about it, but I personally think a gender option might broaden your audience, rather than take away from the appeal. "Loren: The amazon princess" for example, has a gender option, and some gender specific, as well as bi-sexual romance options. The stor...
