Re: [WIP] Eternal Demon - After the Dream [Current: Recruitm

The problem with that is I need pictures with a certain cultural touch to it, some require it. An Italian style touch, if you get my meaning, old fashioned architecture and the like. Shops, market place, that kind of thing. Micro-stock photography sites have everything (if you find something they d...

Also, TVTropes if you're worried about reinventing the wheel! (Warning: TVTropes eats your life.)

Re: [NaNoRenO] [WIP] Amesirun

I posted another small teaser (an image... with a strange symbol ;) ) I'll hopefully manage to finish the script this week. I want to post a story teaser soon, but I don't want it to come across as rushed... I think it's too long! Not in "too long" in general, but maybe too ambitious for a...

Re: The first anime you ever saw?

I join the ranks of those who were first exposed to anime on German TV (and Hungarian TV to a lesser extent)... sheesh, I had no idea even Maya the Bee was anime! Does anyone remember Spoon Obasan? I only realized that one was anime when I dug up some locally released Spoon Obasan comics a few years...

Re: WIP: The Foundation of the World

Wow, this is really promising!! I'm really looking forward to your game. I was quite stunned to see the Alter Rebbe come up in a tech topic, to tell you the truth. I think my questions will be more on-topic here :D I'd like to help... I'm struggling to find time to draw my own game right now, so I c...

Re: Any general suggestion for a first time VN writer?

I like this list of worldbuilding questions if you want to set your VN in a fantasy world. (There used to be a nice printable version somewhere... this one is a bit inconvenient to navigate. But the list itself is great.)

Re: Desprite writer needs artist, and if possible composer

I think Ren already said most of what I wanted to say... I'd also like to say the more characters an artist is willing nto draw, the better I can write the story. Good writing does not necessarily depend on the number of characters... you might want to look into monodrama for ideas (theater by and l...

Re: "Subclassing" characters - modifying pre-existing chars

This is completely offtopic, but I just have to - are you making a game with the Alter Rebbe in it?!?!

(edit: oops I used RenPy formatting instead of phpbb :D )

Re: Worst or most disappointing game you ever bought

That's really sad, especially since Little King's Story has been on my to-buy list since forever and now I'm feeling kind of bad. -_- To me that looks like their most well-rounded title...

Re: Your most favorite obscure game?

Has anyone played Shin Megami Tensei DS? I started to play it during the summer but found the battles quite tedious... which was a shame since the story was shaping up to be interesting. I think my brother finished it...? I'm not sure. Now, I'm pretty sure I've heard that title somewhere... what ki...

Re: [NaNoRenO] [WIP] Amesirun

Just a quick progress report, I'm finished with about half of the script (40 kilobytes so far) and about 1/3 of the art. I'll hopefully finish the script next week and get the closed beta going on, with placeholder art if must be... but I want to finish all of the art and release the game before Pes...

Re: [NaNoRenO] Robot

I love the airy feel of the new menu (frankly, I liked the first version too, minimalistic but nice), looking forward to your mecha designs... and the story of course :P Looks like a different direction than the usual shounen mecha series thing.

Re: NaNoRenO 2010

I personally intend to release a playable version in March (tested as much as possible given the timeframe), and an extended version in April. Mostly because I want to make music specifically for the game, but I'm quite sure I won't be able to fit it into March, and if I don't like the music I end u...

Re: Ellipsis

You should really consider that since they elicit a profound emotional response, it's quite possible that other people would have the same kind of reaction, and thus that such ellipsis could be a powerful tool to convey that kind of character. Hmmm, that's a good idea, I'll keep it in mind if I wan...

Re: How do you dispose a dead body discretely and effectivel

Strangely enough, I've recently seen a book advertised as having all the answers men might need, including an answer to that exact question (rather tongue-in-cheek I assume!). I don't have the book so I don't know the actual answer... I'm trying to find the title now, but there are a zillion similar...
