English Planetarian on iOS?!

That's what this article says. Considering how iffy Key has been about the Western market, I'm VERY surprised and hoping it's the real thing. I'm not saying that to knock fan-translations (though I don't like a scenario where someone would charge and deprive the creators of money), but if Key reall...

Re: Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is being localized!

(hope it's OK to revive this thread)

(darn, can't embed the video so the link to the Playstation blog article from today is here.

It comes out next Tuesday in the US (with a European release date to follow soon!) I am really looking forward to this. The first game was extremely well done.

Re: Best Anime Ever Watched?

Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop have held up surprisingly well in recent rewatching. Paranoia Agent has as well - I feel like Satoshi Kon did a good job telling such a story in TV format. Madoka Magica was a good subversion of magical girl shows. Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) was just all around ent...

Re: NaNoWriMo '12

I only made it to about 37k this year. A lot of things happened both with the novel and real life. By the third week, I couldn't stand to look at that word document. I think I'll give it until February I won this year, it was great! Also, I have finally hosted mi novel in smashwords for $4.99. I'm t...

It's disappointing that a lot of these didn't seem to get wider coverage this year. Also, man I wish I had studied neuroscience after reading this article! ;)

Re: Adventure X - Adventure gaming con in London December

An adventure games convention? This is awesome. I would love to attend a con for more specific genres of video/computer games (like an RPG or VN con! ^-^) Sounds like it went well.

Thanks for sharing your documents, Taleweaver!

Re: LSF@10 Planning [was: Day counter on site...]

I really like the idea of meet-ups at some bigger cons (Otakon is the main one I attend), but I realize that isn't feasible for many on the forums. How about a Skype event?

Congrats on 10 years, LSF! An anniversary project could be a fun idea...

Re: Otakon

I'm going - 20th Anniversary and all that! ^-^ I started going in 2007 and was a bit overwhelmed at first - it is one of the biggest anime conventions out there. I took a year off in 2010, then started making day trips by train in 2011 and 2012. I find that cheaper and more relaxed than staying in t...

Re: Using Game Maker for VNs?

I hope it's OK to jump onboard and ask in this topic. I have been learning Game Maker slowly, but I am wondering about creating a VN-hybrid (either a VN/16-bit RPG hybrid like Corpse Party or a VN/2D Platformer hybrid like Dust: An Elysian Tail)? Doing a hybrid is well into the future for me, but I'...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

Congratulations to the winners! I am still reading through some of the entries and apologize for not getting to finish out the reviews here. I've been really impressed and blown away by some of these. I really enjoyed this contest. I found out about it Saturday afternoon before the deadline and deci...

Japanese Language Proficiency Test

I've seen a few people around the forums who are studying Japanese or speak the language, so I wanted to ask - is anyone taking the JLPT this year? How about people who've taken it in the past? I'm finally taking it. My employer wouldn't accept the JLPT, but a lot of employers in Japan prefer it. I'...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

Finally getting around to reading some of the entries. It's All Your Fault This was an interesting take on the prompt that was given. While I'm not a fan of second person perspective, it makes sense during the inner monologue with the subconscious. I liked how the author decided to use the Spirit of...
