Re: Turn Limits in Sim Games
My husband suggested another option: No turn limit, but the final challenge gets progressively harder the longer you take. Susan I'd be a bit wary about that, actually. If the player's taking too long, it sounds like they'd need an easier finale, I'd think. Something else to consider might be havin...

Re: The Scale of the Universe 2 - by Cary Huang
Statically it's impossible... There is a 1 in 10,000,000 chance that there is any life at all on a planet. there are 400,000,000,000 (billion) stars in the Milky way with about 1 in 3 having planets There are just as many observable galaxies in the universe.... To believe that we are alone is purel...

Different rant: I'm asexual. There's one guy who will not leave me alone about that. He says that I couldn't know if I were asexual until I tried. When I explained to him that I have and that changed nothing, he said that I slept with the wrong person and should sleep with him. My God. I am asexual...

Lately, I've been ashamed of being female and a lesbian. For some reason, I've really felt pressure to conform since... oh, I don't know, late June or so? It might just be the people I talk to, but... damn. I: Don't. Shame is only for when you do something wrong, not when other people think you're ...

Re: How did you decide on a team/studio/other name?
Not my case, but generally the concept of their first developing game gives a circle name. My circle name - nyaatrap itself - is just a random modified letters from cthulhu mythos. Thought your name was just backward of "partaay'n". I assumed it was an elaborate trap set up by a cat. &quo...

Re: Achievements: Do they break the immersion in a game?
Achievement notifications should be optional. Especially if it's a story heavy game. 'Cause notifications can seriously not read the atmosphere of situations. I shouldn't be given little pictures of trophies and a little happy sound marking off that one of the characters just died. And, like LWR men...

I can't believe they're coming out with a FFXIII-3... S-seriously? Oh, wow!? (o__O) Yep. It's called Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII , and is apparently supposed to be more of an an action RPG than the last two games. For one, you actually play as Lightning and force her into various outfits ...

The only reason I buy textbooks is because it's more convenient since the books listed as required MIGHT NOT ACTUALLY BE THE BOOK, so there's no point in buying them earlier just to find out your prof was too lazy to tell the webmaster people to correct the class information to reflect the actual b...
