Artbooks are more expensive. Print-on-demand is more expensive. And it's supposed to be a sort of donation to the game producer to help support them in making more projects like that. It's not supposed to be considered in value along with bookshop books. I think. I missed the artbook bit, I think -...

Rargh! I can't solve that blasted murder mystery -- every single 'murder weapon' and its conclusion leads to a bad end. If it comes down to lame pixel hunting I'm going to be royally peeved. And $25 for a 60-page paperback is insane -- I really have to wonder where they derived their price from. I s...

Theoretically this will give my numb thumb feelings once more but there is a downside... in my case they were going to remove some nerves from my Index finger and place it in my numb thumb and that will definitely takes some time getting use to it since I'm (theoretically) will feel my thumb as ano...

Haruhi is overbearing (and I'm sure some would say 'obnoxious') at first, but one of the great things about this series is watching her change. She actually starts getting to within two standard deviations of 'normality' while retaining her wacky self :P I woudln't say that this show is the greatest...

I suppose the project I'm working on would classify as a hybrid between the parallel and branching routes. It's hard to say at this point -- there's a definite start point, and so far the fledgling paths are more parallel than any other description -- but I also plan on it getting fairly wide-branch...

Well, if a person was skipping through the text on the -first- playthrough, they deserve what they get  Anyway, if I were going to incorporate such a feature, I'd at least give the player a 'heads-up' before the actual timed decision. Heck, the first time it came up, I'd probably include a ...

I've played through twice, and one of the things I really enjoyed was the fact that both playthroughs were very different, save for the first five minutes or so (before the story has an opportunity to branch). I don't know how different the other two endings are, but I'll get around to checking thos...
Since this appears to be the formal introduction thread, I'm signing as well. Well, I downloaded Ren'Py a couple weeks ago or so and I've just within the past few days started tinkering with it -- 'When I Rule the World' and 'Reconstruction 01' were the main catalysts. I decided to go ahead and regi...

All right, you lured me out. No longer 'Just Lurking,' I guess. :P As for 800x600, it's too small for comfort (at least for me). I figured I'd experiment with 960x720, at least to start, because it wasn't one of the 'standard' resolutions but still 4:3. (Does Ren'Py by default only run those two 'st...
