Re: Help: Drawing programs for non-graphical tablet
What sei.chan said; it sounds like you need to spend a lot more time with the programs in order to get better at digital art. Digital art programs are just a different medium from traditional and like traditional, you need to practice a lot to get used to it and produce work from improving your own ...

Re: Art Software
Medibang Paint Pro is basically a trimmed down Clip Studio Paint. I'd do what Reikun recommended though and buy Clip Studio when it's on sale for $15.

Re: Art Software
Yeah, that's definitely difficult. While you can definitely create digital art starting from paper, you'd still probably need a scanner. Using a mouse to draw and color digitally isn't impossible (in fact, there's a good number of people who are able to do this), but it isn't ideal for your wrist if...

Re: Art Software
http://medibangpaint.com/en/dl/ Medibang Paint Pro is completely free and a really good drawing software. They have a page where they teach you how to use the basics: http://medibangpaint.com/en/use/ I've been using it a lot even though I already have other digital art programs I've paid for (SAI an...

Re: Affordable Tablets?
How affordable are we talking about here? What's the price range in which you're willing to pay?
And I did write up a post about possible tablets you could buy in another thread you made:

Re: MaiMai's Art Thread [Critique Appreciated]
Thank you! (Iona's actually African American!) When I clear out my commission queue, I hope to draw more chibis in that style. That said, here's another style I've been posting on Twitter and Tumblr lately. The first was done in SAI the second in Medibang Paint Pro (a free program that's actually re...

Sometimes I end up working on my own stuff instead of commissions I could be finishing up... At least I'm drawing.

Re: I DRAW SPRITES 2: CRITIQUE (unfinished piece)
I think you could probably ask a mod to combine this thread with your first one? Since you're asking for general advice for your own art and it's not that different except for asking critique for a different piece.

Re: I DRAW SPRITES: CRITIQUE/ HELP ME IMPROVE!?
I did a quick (not entirely accurate) redline of your sprite. Head shape and facial proportions are okay for the style you're drawing in, but the body proportions can use improvement. Basically, I moved the chest down, made the shoulders wider and made her neck wider so that it can look like it supp...

Re: MaiMai's Art Thread [Critique Appreciated]
Been trying out new things to see if I can push my style, especially if I'm going to make VN assets. I think it's going okay so far!! (/kicks self into doing commissions in the meanwhile)

Re: Of character name and nationality
I have seen many people on this forum complain about Japanese name. But then, is English name any better? I'm a Vietnamese, so if I make English name for my character, would it be wrong? Name in some languages like Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese... are easy to pinpoint the nationality: If a chara...
