Re: Romance mods for Bioware games - what would you recommend?

I didn't even know there were romance mods already. As with the previous poster, I know that there's the genre flip from ShadowKeeper. I also know that there were tons of bug fixes for Jaheira's romance and the ToB extensions. Sorry, I can't help. Maybe if you link to some of the romance mods. It's ...

Re: Any newbie success stories or Ren'Py craftsmanship training?

Your current excuses make it sound like you don't really want to do that much work. Are you afraid that you're going to do a lot of work and not be rewarded in the end? It seems as if you're not willing to take any risks. Opposite. I'm afraid that I would one day find out that all of my work is act...

Re: Commercial Worthy Visual Novel

Forgive me for being too intruding. I don't even know how to make a Ren'Py game. If I have to judge from the outside looking in, I would say the reason papillon was successful was due to 3 factors: 1) She filled a hungry in-need-of-supply niche - Many of us were yearning for more English speaking Pr...

Re: Any newbie success stories or Ren'Py craftsmanship training?

Would you teach me how to gain the credibility and the skills to direct one? This is the first time I've heard of the term "doujin circles".

Re: Any newbie success stories or Ren'Py craftsmanship training?

Thanks for the Katawa Shoujo mention. I was going to check out their game until I saw in their website that they only have act 1 finished. Unfortunately, I've never been a project manager either. I don't think anyone would respect someone who has absolutely no knowledge in Ren'Py at all and would no...

Any newbie success stories or Ren'Py craftsmanship training?

I keep trying to hold back on making this topic but... I fail. I'm beyond whining. I've become paralyzed and fear opening Ren'Py because I'm not getting started. Yes, there are other things that have kept me busy. Some legitimate. Many procrastinative. But I have no excuse except for every excuses ...

Re: (Linux) Fatal Python Error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation

Thanks. I had since deleted the Linux version of o3 but the direct Ren'Py download seems to work better on Linux than the Ubuntu package. (For ex. I thought it was just a quirk that Ren'Py won't open the game directory but now it does.) What's wrong with JEdit on Linux? Maybe it's because I have JRE...

(Linux) Fatal Python Error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation

Fatal Python error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation Fault Aborted ...is what I get on Linux Mint 7 Gloria while running Orie Ochi Onoe. Sorry, I'm a newb at Linux and don't really know what other information to give. I basically downloaded the tar of the game and unzipped (or I guess it's called unt...
