Re: Your first version of Ren'Py!
I can't recall what the exact first one was since I kept just lurking and not actually doing anything with Ren'Py, but I think the first game I released was sometime after I downloaded 6.11.2 and then updated it to 6.13 to release the game in late September 2011.

Re: Animation in Ren'Py
I love the 3D Camera too. Though I'm not using it for animation...just for staging. Ah well! But thanks for alerting me to Träumendes Mädchen...I'll have to follow them along! Absolutely! I think using it for staging is a great idea, with or without animation. :D Träumendes Mädchen is great, a very...

Re: Animation in Ren'Py
I love using the 3D Camera . It helped me make an effect to lightly shake a background that was also otherwise animated. When I tried without the 3D camera, I got a bit motion sick, so it really saved me! A4YloMCvdA8 gEZcdhhtxwY It was thanks to this Träumendes Mädchen's blog post that I started usi...

Re: Seeking Gui Artist
Hey there. Generally UI designers charge much more for the entire set of UI graphics for games. Even logos tend to be over $50 on their own. For example, I generally charge $250 for the most basic UI, and increase my rates with the project's complexity. And that's just for the graphics, no programmi...

Re: The Owl-Woman Oracle [fortune teller]
Downloaded it as soon as I could. I'm so excited to see it out!
The art is gorgeous and I enjoyed how smoothly it ran. I also like the interface and the flavor text for the readings.
Well done!

Tool for Contractual Agreements
When it comes to freelancing for games, I like to play it safe and have a written agreement between myself (contractor) and whoever is hiring me. I find that having a written agreement with clear language goes a long way to keep everyone on the same page and prevent any damages or dishonesty (intend...

I am playing a horror VN called Neighbor, which just came out on Steam. I love the atmosphere, so creepy. It reminds me of Japanese horror like Ringu and Ju-on. The translation and localization is fantastic.
