Re: Coursera - Free Online Python Class
I'm looking at it right now. It seems good. Simple and clear, perfect for a beginner. Thanks.PyTom wrote:http://inventwithpython.com/
Seems like it might be something people here are interested in. (I haven't read the books myself, however - I only know them by reputation.)

Thanks for the feedback, Reikun . Actually, it's a simple program to 'motivate' a simple exercise. As you say, the only important thing is to DO it. I want to add the streak count, which tolds how many days in a row have you done, what is your record, etc. I could add goals, too (monthly, weekly, et...

Re: Coursera - Free Online Python Class
I'm definitely bookmarking this topic.
Currently taking the course in codecademy and it's interesting. Somethings too basic, but also lots of things I didn't knew (strings[:] for example).
BTW, Dive into Python seems a little outdated.

Re: Coursera - Free Online Python Class
Thanks for the advises! I know a little of freepascal (with Lazarus), and understand the basics of programming, but I've never made an intro to Python. I'm finding useful http://www.codecademy.com/tracks/python (linked by Kitten the Cat , thanks!). It's really really basic, but I'm discovering basic...

It's rather easy to prove one's innocence in art theft. Just show them the sketches or some layers that impossible to have with only the final art. Unless you lost the raw files or you're indeed tracing art, it should be easy to prove. i dont even think i hAVE the old .sai files, the picture is lik...

Include "nvl clear" in the "say" screen
I'd like to include the "nvl clear" order in the say screen. This way, every time a character speaks in ADV-style, the former nvl text is cleared. I know I can put the "nvl clear" line every time in the script, but I'm wondering if it can be done automatically from the "say&...
