Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Just a sketch I finished today. I tried toned paper since it looks very nice to work on.

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

Thanks for the sympathy, Lishy. Unfortunately, my best friend passed away yesterday. I attended his wake yesterday afternoon till near midnight. I had to accompany some of my friends since some of them had regrets and it was really heartbreaking to see them. Surprisingly, I felt like I reached a clo...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I just received some bad news today, so I did my best to continue my work but it was eating me inside. My best friend was confined in ICU due to his weak body. He's been diagnosed with cancer for sometime now, but he was cleared recently. However it came back after few months. He couldn't get chemo ...

Re: What's your opinion on photo/model tracing?

I think photo/model tracing is a good practice for your eyes. It allows you to be more observant how proportions work. I know a lot of good artists who resorts to making their own reference pictures mainly because it looks more natural to live sketch them. I've started out through this method, mainl...

Re: What are you listening to while you write?

Normally I don't listen to music when I'm writing, but when I can't crunch up for any ideas at all, I tend to resort to listening to some music related to the scene I'm doing. Sometimes, instead of listening to music, I watch a drama series on the half of my screen, and I get good ideas on how to ex...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I just accepted a pretty important job offer recently, and my brain is racking up all the things that I have to do before my first day of work.

... My head hurts. @_@ Uurghh

Re: Do you ever feel like your game is not good enough?

This is probably one of my worries, which caused my current project to become slow. I always had to fulfill that part of self-imposed standard I had before I could execute something, which led to many backlogs to my game. I'm slowly overcoming it by thinking logically that deadlines should be met, a...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

And what did you use for the shadows ? The darkest among my markers was the one in the middle. It's Copic Sketch N3 Neutral Gray No.3 The one on the left, it's Copics Sketch V20 Wisteria, while the one on the most right is Kurecolor 801 Light gray. I just layered the strokes a couple of times that'...

Ahaha! I suppose you're right. Unlike ice cream, guys can be pretty annoying, though. :)

They're Copic Multiliner Pens 0.1 and 0.05 respectively. They're great for markers as long as you dry the lineart for 1-2 hours at least c:

Re: Lumella's Art Corner & Progress Thread

It's been a long time since I went hiatus. I'm back on roll again. I've been into traditional art recently, more specifically markers. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmDeFwcCMAAfLIo.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmhdeNdCcAEf4px.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BpLRhokIcAAJtVd.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Nice sketch, my advice is to lurk less and post more. Hahaha, you're right. That's probably what I should do next. Anyhoo, this is my update from my lineart yesterday. Marker practice! Honestly, I think I overdid the shadows, but it's practice so I'll move on to my next artwork. https://pbs....

It's been a long time since I've posted in here. Always been lurking instead.
Here's what I've been working on, art-wise.

I've been doing more marker practice these past weeks.
