Today, I was browsing Crunchyroll's news section, and noticed an Arcade Spirits review there. It was positive.
I didn't find a topic for Arcade Spirits in the completed games section of Lemma Soft. Though I might have missed it...

Re: Exaggerating Characters for Readability
Or do you seek to make more realistic characters who may not be as distinguishable from each other? Should you worry if your characters are all more down-to-earth because players won't be able to distinguish them? Think of specific examples of published fiction which you consider to have at least o...

Re: Cinders - now on Steam! [commercial]
Yesterday, I noticed Cinders while browsing the Nintendo eShop. It looks like the VN's about to be released in digital-only form for Switch. I wanted to comment on this in a recent r/visualnovels thread, but Reddit wouldn't let me log in at the time... I've already purchased a few VNs / narrative ga...

Re: Ochiba - Falling Leaves (Slice of Life Visual Novel) Official Kickstarter launch!
The outcome of each playthrough is diverse in its own way and heavily influenced by player choice which we feel is very important to have in a game... Include as many choices / alternate paths / endings as you can handle. Consider how many of the choices will help make your story more interactive a...

Re: Currency within a Visual Novel - How it's handled.
I played the three Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side games. In all of them, the protagonist benefits by spending money on more outfits. However, she will have almost no money unless she chooses one of several part-time jobs. (The protagonist also benefits by having a job, because they help her improve r...

Re: VN Survey
In my opinion, these are somewhat vague terms. Each one can be used to describe a variety of illustrated works. (I write this because I enjoy illustrations which stand out. If I can remember and describe the drawings, that's a plus.)

Re: Seers Isle [Commercial] [OELVN] [Complete][Steam]
Explore the island through a diverse group of characters, depicted in a gorgeous European comic book art style. I like the art both here and on Seers Isle's Steam page. If you're curious, I say this as a person who's wandered from fandom to fandom, trying different types of stories and games. (My k...

Re: Good things about Otome games?
1. What do you like in an otome game (the strongest eye-catcher of the game) if you had to choose one? Is it art? Story? Something else? If the art conveys confidence and personality, that is a plus. If it’s a distinct style that stands out, that is also a plus. 3. What would you look for in an oto...

Re: Ideas Dump
“What if David Cage wrote a comedy?” “Super powers are scary.” Flight, invisibility, and FTL speed are fun fantasies. Consider writing them as risky or horrifying. This has been done before. The 2015 Fantastic Four movie hinted at this. The 2003 Hulk movie got close. Perhaps the best example is the ...

Re: Unofficial film(not poem) basaed "half cousin" to DDLC in progress (not mod)
Fiction is iterative. People get inspired by books, movies, comics, etc, and then make their own. That said, I want to encourage you to write a story that reflects your interests. Think about how you can shape your VN into something more than DDLC with movies. Here is why... * You can probably think...

Re: How do you feel about NSFW scenes in an otome?
The first visual novel that I read was Three Sisters Story , which had explicit sex scenes and boy x girl pairings. Some of them seemed tacked-on, while others seemed relevant to the story. The first visual novel that I thoroughly enjoyed was Kana Little Sister , which also had explicit sex scenes -...

Re: Berry Street [Slice of Life] [Mature Audiences] [Free]
Hello from a fanboy who lives near Chicago, and who's struggled with relationships. I attended a small local church for years until I had doubts about my sexuality. Berry Street, as well as writing as a whole, is a hobby that I do because I want to do it, not because I feel like I have to. Progress ...

Re: Astaleth's Mages [GxB][Adventure/Drama/School/Romance]
What do you think of the protagonist, Nina? I hope to follow the examples of many OELVN creators of the otome genre and bring my MC to life, rather than have a doormat with her personality defined by the player's choices. Nina is sassy and outspoken, though she is far from perfect as her main flaw ...

Re: The Hero Of The Prophesy [Free, short, kinetic] [Light, Childish]
I don't plan to translate the character's name; You know, when a franchise come to France, English names are nearly never translated: We have Optimus Prime, Twilight Sparkles and martian manhunter, and a very few people notice that their name actually mean something. What do you think of doing the ...
