Re: NaNoRenO for 2011!!!!
I have an KN idea for NaNoRenO, and I've been starting on writing it in Ren'Py, but I'm wondering whether I should write it as a normal short story and sub it to appropriate markets instead. That would definitely put it out of the running for this year's NaNo, though.

Re: What I Did Last Week (ending 2/13)
Started outlining the secret project. I haven't created a thread for it yet since I don't want to announce it before I at least have a completed script draft. (I figure, at that point, it will be a matter of 'when' rather than 'if,' even if it takes years.) That, and I don't even have a title at thi...

What I Did Last Week #4 (week ending 2/6)
Week four! Since no one's posted a new thread yet- (excerpting PyTom's original post, as Aleema did last week) Welcome to the first "What I Did Last Week" thread. Over the last couple of years, I've noticed that there's a lot of posting, and especially concrete posting, towards the start a...

KimiYoriBaka: I think it's great that you're having a friend proofread your game. You might also want to consider a "hostile proofreader" - I'd worry that friendship could get in the way of horribly frank feedback. (Do other people have comments on this?) WARNING: Herd of teal deer approa...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
Triple-check your cookies. A lot of those sites won't let you do anything unless you accept cookies (and 'allow for session' isn't even enough in some places), and sometimes it's hard to sort out what you denied months ago from what's snarling up now. I ran into that problem around the time this tit...

LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) is free and open source (and not just for Linux, despite the name).

Re: Recettear
Recettear is available on Steam, GamersGate, and ImpulseDriven for about $20 US. I haven't used any of those services, so I made sure to read their About Us pages. Even afterward, it wasn't entirely clear if the player has to remain online while playing their content, or whether single player games...

Re: Help with english word
I know it's a little late, but what about "diligence?" I guess it might be a little funny as a stat, but it sounds close to what you're looking for (as does discipline).

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
I...um...broke it. Details: I'm in chapter 3-B, Nazim's route (pretty sure), and gambling. First I chose to check out the card games, then to play - and that crashed the game. The traceback file's huge - I'd C&P it into this post, but it's 20+ screens of text. Should I PM you a copy, Azur...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
It just finished. Thanks for putting it up, and sorry it ended up being my own foolishness that made it necessary in the first place :( I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow to play, though -- it's already almost 3 AM here and I really should be asleep...maybe this whole mess wouldn't have happen...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
Sendspace works fine. I also tested 4shared on the desktop, and that took me through to the download countdown (I canceled) -- and I figured out where things went awry! I did another search in my cookie list on the netbook, and the cookies for 'www.4shared' were blocked for some reason unlike the ot...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
It doesn't help, unfortunately. I did notice a quirk, though - it appends ?err-no-sess to the end of the URL each and every time, no matter my settings, no matter how many times I go through the cycle. Thanks for the backup link. I'm going to see if I have any better luck with 4shared on the desktop...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
Well, it's clearly working for some people, so that is better than nothing. I just wish I knew why it's not working here :( Zumi: It just doesn't do anything. I click on the download link, it appears to refresh the page (and prompts for a cookie since I have Firefox set to ask first), and nothing ha...

Re: Fantasia Requiem of The Abyss (GXB)
The 4shared links aren't working. At first I thought it was a conflict with Adblock Plus, so I whitelisted 4shared...to no effect. I tried allowing cookies, but that hasn't solved things either. Any idea what's going on?

Re: Ever 17
Well, I believe licensing Ever 17 would basically be impossible because KID went out of business. As for used copies... since the disks aren't required for playing the games I'm surprised it isn't possible to find the game used. But I suppose that the ease of piracy made that the preferred route, w...
