Re: Pastel Blue [GxB][NPC BxB][Otome, School Life, Comedy]
I like it! It matches the color schemes of the characters better. The other backgrounds are kind of cluttered because of all the colors and it made the characters stand out less.

Yeah, what ShippoK said is right. Using the word 'retarded' is a little different then using a usual swear word. There's different opinions on whether it could be considered an actual slur or not but you might want to play it safe and for that instance use something like 'stupid' or as suggested abo...

Re: Will people actually read a KN?
I actually usually prefer KNs because I like sitting back and enjoying the story in one go without having to save constantly and/or skip through a lot of text. What merdeamour said is true, good art will draw people in and a good story will keep them hooked to the end. Though I guess you'll initiall...

Re: Heartful Memory [Friendship, Slice-Of-Life]
I think it might help your sprite if you make the head a little smaller and/or the hands a little bigger but otherwise I think it looks good. Unless you mean for him to read as being in a 'chibi' style, which I can't say it wouldn't be interesting to play a VN with all chibi art. I can really only g...

Re: Game Sprite Critique
The legs are still a bit short. In realistic human proportions legs usually take up about half of the entire length of the body from head to toes, and all of the legs you've drawn are about a 'head' too short. I say usually because there are some exceptions where the legs might be shorter or longer,...

Re: Simple Text Boxes
I'm glad you guys like all of these
I tried making some NVL textboxes but they weren't turning out they way I wanted them too....
I'll probably make some more textboxes soon- is there any type of theme or color scheme you guys would like me to try to work with?

Re: Game Sprite Critique
I love the amount of diversity in the character's bodies! Kiki and LUVER have good points and I'd like to echo the fact that the characters are leaning a bit to the left. That's something you have to watch out for especially when you're drawing on paper because you don't have the ability to flip the...

Re: Octsect (mystery/suspense)
This does look like a pretty interesting idea. One question, though: why do all the characters except one only have 1 or 2 letters in their name? Are those nicknames, or is Reai having a longer name a special case? Its mentioned above that the older a character is the more letters they get in their...

Re: A site for poses
You might be able to find some good poses on Senshistock's deviantart which has a wide variety. There's a larger percentage of actiony poses but there's some standing around too.

Re: Octsect (mystery/suspense)
I am intrigued! It's good to see more VNs with alien characters in it... I wonder what you mean by "a menu system where it can hold vocab I made up for the aliens" though... Looking forward to see updates! I think they mean something like a library/in game dictionary for the terms? It's d...

Re: Octsect (mystery/suspense)
Was this inspired by Homestuck by any chance? The 'human program that gives you a new planet' sounds like sburb. It'll be interesting to see what kinds of directions you take the idea in.

Re: Re:Set Episode 1 Re: [RPG][VN][Mystery][Demo]
This turned out pretty nice! I enjoyed what was available for the demo. The music is nice and the RPG and Exploration bits worked a lot better than I thought they would. :) I also agree that it might be good to change the color of the Goon and Girl characters to something more readable since the gr...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
More art experimentation. This time deconstructing the style of an artist I'm a big fan of. Cookies if you can guess who :3 I learnt a fair bit from this, and I'm very intrigued. http://i.imgur.com/LvprcdT.png Looks good! My only suggestion is that the eye in back is a little small compared to the ...

Re: My first background: Honest criticism appreciated!
the biggest thing that jumps out at me is that the perspective is off on the cabinet, top of the window and the purple thing (what is it?) did you use a horizon line and vanishing points or did you just wing it? Also right now the room is pretty empty, and I don't know if that's what you were going ...
