Re: How would you define your personality?
I'm an INTJ, and I think far too much. As in, try-to-analyze-every-conversation kind of think too much. Social situations tend to give me a headache, although they're more annoying than scary, and I tend to prefer to just do my own thing and observe events from a distance. Apparently I do alright in...

Re: Ideas Dump
Idea dumping, because this is the wrong idea for what I'm working on right now (which happens to be a website, not a visual novel...) Might revisit it later: Story is told from the perspective of a tree, which has become almost an urban legend; the legend goes that if a man speaks his problems to th...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
Vectors are great for some things, but one of the problems that makes it sort of stick out, is that it tends to look and feel a bit 'artificial' when drawing by hand, a curve is sort of random and looks natural and untamed, whereas with vectors, the lines can end up looking 'too' good. For me, when...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Speaking of SAI, I downloaded the trial version and practically spent my whole day on that program trying to improve my lineart. Vector lines are so pretty :D Trying to get as much art as utterly possible in while I still have the trial, so here's something I (re)drew in SAI, and using as my avatar:

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
Just downloaded the trial version of Paint Tool SAI, and I've already fallen in love with the vector lineart pen. Why doesn't photoshop have something like this? I'd been doing okay with my messy / sometimes blurry photoshop lines before, but now the perfectionist in me is horribly bothered. Time to...

Re: The Man and His Shell [knetic novel] [fantasy] [horror]
Played your demo, here are some first impressions: The premise is really interesting, and I like how quickly it ramped into action. Only issues I have with writing style so far is that it felt like the whole scene just rushed by - there was barely any interaction with the friend before she died, and...

Amorphous's Free Music [CC-BY-NC]
EDIT: I'm using this thread now as the place to put all of my CC music; there are more tracks in some of my replies to this topic. Some of them can also be found sporadically on my Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/beastamorphous/sanctuary https://soundcloud.com/beastamorphous/recollection Original...

Re: On what stage do you prefer doing art?
I've only ever collaborated with others for music, although my process for art would be largely the same. The stage I'm willing to join a project depends largely on the track record of the person or group that's making the visual novel; if it's their first one, then I'll probably only be willing to ...

Re: Your first ever video game.
Mine'd be Super Mario 64. Except I didn't know how to read at the time, so I was just mashing random buttons trying to figure out what to do. Man, that was a long time ago.

Final Fantasy XIII. Haven't touched a single Final Fantasy game before this one, already managed to clock around 30 hours on it. Plot's confusing, but EYE CANDY

Re: Amorphous's Art Thread
Okay, so this is a few months late, but better late than never, I say. School and life's been pretty busy. I've since finished the sprite of the guy that's been the subject of this whole thread, a lot more satisfied with it now than when I first started. :D Although I never really gave him much of a...

Re: What inspired/caused you to make VNs?
I am a storyteller by heart, and I really love coming up with crazy, epic plots, but I am also a visual thinker, and liked imagining the characters' appearances and the world and their interactions. I couldn't be satisfied just writing down the story, as then all of the visuals would be lost (and I'...

Re: NaNoWriMo '12
I did used to write in the script editor, but my writing seemed a little more stiff while I was :/ Is that just me? Same thing happens to me, although I think it has more to do with the font that's used in my case. I make it a point to use Times or a similar font while I'm writing for Nanowrimo - i...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
I'm having one of those midlife-crisis-like things where I'm always questioning what I have done and what I can do, and where I have this urge to learn something new or start some huge project, especially seeing how many visual novel projects are started and completed here. The problem is that I'm a...

Re: NaNoWriMo '12
Well, the hurricane kind of killed all of my chances of getting a head-start with anything involving Nanowrimo...but fortunately, I got power back just in time for November 1st, so it's time to get cracking. I have no idea how the nano website really works, though...or what buddies even means. Someo...
