Re: In the Air looking for beta readers & editors
Just letting you know that I finished my edits. I hope you found it helpful. I ripped it apart in some parts though--I hope you're okay with that. I liked the story overall, but there were some points where I didn't like the protagonist so much. I pointed out such occasions in the comments. I wish M...

Re: How does one create a likeable horse?
I agree with Laiska, the tools you use to make the horse come to life depends on how realistic or how cartoony you want it to be. My favorite animated horses are the ones with snarky expressions and gestures-- like Khan, the black horse from Mulan, and Maximus from Tangled. I also liked Donkey from ...

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
I usually just put white noise on (things like the sound of rain or the sound of fire crackling). It's relaxing, helps me focus, and isn't too distracting. It also helps me concentrate on work when there is a lot of noise going around at home or lots of people talking in the background. This site es...

There's also inklewriter: http://www.inklestudios.com/inklewriter/. It's pretty simple to learn. But from what I understand, unlike Twine, which has a desktop application, inklewriter is purely online.

Re: What do you want to see more of in EVNs?
Some things I would like to see... > You know, how in Digital: A Love Story, the interface isn't like a VN? You interact with a system designed like the computers of the Eighties. And I kept thinking, that it would be cool if there more games based on a similar formula. It doesn't have to be a compu...

Re: 2D Animation programs? (preferably free)
Pencil is a free animation/drawing software for making traditional 2D animation using bitmap and vector graphics. There are versions for it in Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

Re: How do I write a strong beginning?
Beginnings are probably the toughest scenes to get right and it's guaranteed that you'd end up revisiting your first scene in the future, polishing and editing it so that it hooks your reader. It's easier to start writing the scenes that you are excited about, even it means starting in the middle or...

Re: Love to design games... Can't math.
If you're still looking to improve your math skills, I know that khan academy covers Early Math, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II...all the way to things like Trignometry and Multivariable Calculus. It's completely free, have a lot of math exercises so you can test yourself, ...

Wotcher! My username is anon2045. Ever since I played my first VN (Digital: A Love Story), I’ve grown fascinated in the making and playing of VNs. I consider myself mainly a writer, but I like drawing as well. (I’m more a traditional pencil and paper person though and am looking to learn more about ...

Re: Need Critique on Lethal Love Scene (A Tad Mature)
Haha, thanks! I hope I didn't break any rules by posting here first though. I should probably head over to the guestbook soon. Well, a 18+ scene could be both explicit and loving. Being explicit is more about exposure and leaving nothing to do the imagination; whether or not they are particular roma...

Re: Need Critique on Lethal Love Scene (A Tad Mature)
While this could benefit from putting some spacing between paragraphs to give it more white space (and make it more approachable), the actual content itself was amazingly written. It was charged with emotion, without being corny, and I loved the characters--both Shin and Mari. I'm still a newbie to ...
