Re: A Very Important Date [Otome|Fantasy|Commercial] Demo+Up
Sorry for the late response! That's my favorite part of the synopsis... though I think my very favorite part is watching Justin agonize over writing it. Currently the art for the characters are being redone by our new sprite artist, but their overall designs will stay the same, but the art style wil...

Re: Tips on how to create a team for creating visual novels?
Some places to find people are, well here on the forums of course, but also you can find artists and writers on Deviantart and Tumblr. Three of my artists I found or knew on Deviantart. You can also make a post in reddit's dev threads, which is where I found my programmer... but reddit can be hit or...

Re: Juggling writing along with a fulltime job
When I used to work and go to school I would use my break times at work to outline and make any kind of plot notes. During my days off or my free time, I would look over the outline and notes and write. I found this to be helpful as I already have things figured out beforehand which helps me to have...

Re: Voltage competition
Good luck, everyone ^_^. April feels so far away right now.
I was able to get two writing entries in. Almost didn't make it in time with the one.

Re: Unlockable Routes: POV change
The mobile game In Your Arms Tonight by Voltage INC did something similar. The POV was told by the suitor and allowed the player to make choices that affected which ending they get. The mobile game is setup in a more linear gameplay, but a lot of people that play the game really like this setup more...

Re: Help Understanding Legal Rights for Game Assets...
Emails may be protected by the 4th Amendment for unreasonable searches and seizures. In the case we're talking about, two people would have the copy of the email (contract agreements), so there's no reason for a warrant as I'm sure the one fighting over the agreement (the one taking the other party ...

Re: Help Understanding Legal Rights for Game Assets...
This really depends on the laws of your area on copyright stuff as well as who you're commissioning for the work. I recommend going to a copyright/trademark lawyer in your area to get more and clearer information as well as legal advice. I know in the USA that there are lawyers that have free consul...

Re: Is there an 'order' in VN production?
I don't think there's necessarily a right order to do a VN production as everyone works differently and have different life situations. Personally, I think it's a good idea to have at least some writing done before starting other things, especially if you have team members helping you with it. I fin...

Re: AnimeFest 2016 (Aug 12-15) Dallas
I was originally thinking of going to San Japan this year, but might decide to go to AnimeFest instead if my parents are still living in the Dallas area at the time.

XD It was probably me that you saw posting it in different places, lol. Oddly people are still able to enter in even though it's already passed the deadline based on the site. I sent in my two entries yesterday and helped my artist friend with sending hers in since she kept having issues.

Re: What is considered copyright when it comes to ..
Quoting from my business law book, "The fair-use doctrine provides that a portion of a copyrighted work may be reproduced for purposes of 'criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarships, and research'" (McGraw-Hill pg. 165). So base...

Re: Japanese Influence on English Visual Novels
I think part of this is based on what the developers' interests are and also what they think their art or writing will more fit into. You also have to think what your target audience is into. I've been into the otome mobile app stuff for a little over two years and have noticed what the fanbase over...
