Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
The protagonist for yet another post-FA:NG game idea, this one a survival-upon-being-flung-into-vaguely-medieval-other-world thing. She would be very different from Mike, cool and calculating rather than hotheaded and impulsive. Like a Real vs a Super, or maybe a Spock vs a McCoy.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
That's definitely the kind of clean, sterile logo that gets "vaguely sinister corporation" across. Though it says something about me that I mentally fill in the blank with a d20 instead of the obvious cube.Hijiri wrote:Breaking up the flow of drawings to show off a bit of graphic work:

If you're up for a mild challenge, how about Jeff from FA:NG? In this more interesting outfit.

Re: Age and romance?
While South Park has the kids acting more 14 than 10, it's a pretty accurate representation of how crass kids actually are in middle school/high school. Adults have a little more restraint/maturity when talking about sexual topics, but they still talk pretty freely about it with their friends.

Re: A Dirty White [Ancient Rome] [Steampunk] [Whateverelsepu
I like me some ancient history and don't think enough fiction/fantasy has been focused on it, so this idea has some potential. I'm guessing it's short enough that there wouldn't be a demo, so looking forward to release.

Re: Which head style?
I think the eyes would be better either a little smaller or further apart than that. Also, a very helpful trick when you start out drawing, and even farther after that, is to flip the image horizontally. That helps you figure out whether there are any symmetry errors/whether it suddenly looks weird ...

Re: Cliché vs. Fresh
Everything is a cliche at this point. The key is to take the expected, chop it up into little pieces, and reassemble them into a bunch of well-crafted golems to do your bidding. Also, taking cues from reality is something to keep in mind, especially if you're writing something slice-of-life. Do you ...

First version unless you're going to texture everything else.

You could be groundbreaking, especially if you actually do it right/not just for the sake of a gimmick. Go for it.

I'll say to you what I said to teacup, I think it's admirable and good that you're choosing to focus on the projects you enjoy/most want to complete rather than risking burnout working on a series you're feeling stale on. It's also good that you're expanding your horizons as a creator and being hone...

2 is the best-proportioned, but the eyes would be better a tad smaller.

Re: (P)lanets 2 [GxB] [Sci-Fi School Life]
I actually respect that you've decided to put this project on hold in favor of what could possibly be a more mature work. I've been feeling the same way on writing a high school game at times, and I've been out of college for two years. It's good that you've decided to be upfront and tell your fans ...

Re: 3D CUSTOM GIRL - Thoughts?
I think the problem with using 3D models is that, as mentioned, it really takes some effort and skill with posing, texturing, and lighting to make them not fall straight into the Uncanny Valley. The time and effort it would take to learn how to do them properly is time you could probably use to lear...

Re: Opinions on tragedy
Depends on what tone you're intending to go for. If you're intending for it to be a repeated emotional punch to the gut, go full-hog. If you want the lasting impression to be more lighthearted, reexamine.
