Re: Do you let your artists publish your commissioned art?
Okay got it. Another question.
Do I need some formal document that acts as a contract that I have to send over that specifies that all right are transferred to me and blah blah blah or are the messages we have between each other (stored on either fiverrs servers or deviantart servers) enough?

Do you let your artists publish your commissioned art?
I'm creating a game and I'm commissioning an artist. Should I disallow my artist to publish the works I ordered from him on public sites like deviant art or tumblr. It will take a while for the game to actually release so people might think that I stole the art when they see finally see it or someon...

Re: Writer Looking For Work
Is my math correct that .02 cents per word would be $1 per 5000 words?OhOliver! wrote:I have a flat rate of 0.02 cents per word written, proofread, or edited, but I’m flexible.
5000 x .02 cents = 100 cents = 1 dollar

Re: What is your opinion on this commissioned artwork?
Yep I also noticed the table length. And the chairs are too close the table. I won't have room to put any characters that are sitting there.Imperf3kt wrote:I do hope those tables are temporary or the school is for midgets. They're far too low.
I don't have any input of value, I'm afraid.

What is your opinion on this commissioned artwork?
I have commissioned a piece of art and the artist has sent me what he has so far (roughly 70-75% done). It's supposed to be a school classroom if that wasn't obvious I have my own opinions in it but I want to know what everybody else thinks. 1. What do you think I should pay/ the artist should charg...

Re: Are there any builtin functions that hide the current sc
The problem is that renpy is almost always showing multiple screens. The say screen, choice screen, menu screen etc. are all screens. There is no such thing as a 'current screen' really. That makes sense. Thanks! Is there a way to hide all screens? I currently created my own hide all screens functi...

Re: Are there any builtin functions that hide the current sc
Try this screen action - https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/screen_actions.html#HideInterface I don't think that will work. That only hides it until the user clicks. I want it to be just like the regular Hide() action but instead of me giving it the name like Hide("map") I want it to be Hide(...

Are there any builtin functions that hide the current screen
I was just wondering if renpy has any built in functions or commands that hide whatever the current screen showing is? Or is there a way to write that function?

Re: Trying to set up an energy bar. Weird bugs
I don't know what you've got going on there, but animated value works for me. Whenever I have questions about something, I tend to make a test program and then systematically work through the documentation regarding that thing. Here is the tester I made when I wanted to mess around with bars. Load ...

Re: Trying to set up an energy bar. Weird bugs
It looks like you want an Animated bar...is there any particular reason you didn't use the AnimatedValue rather than the StaticValue and your own functions? https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/screen_actions.html#AnimatedValue Cool I didn't know about that. I'm trying to implement it but it doesn't seem...

Trying to set up an energy bar. Weird bugs
I'm trying to set up an energy bar. Here is my code The screen containing the energy bar (and other UI elements) screen overlay: imagemap: ground "backgrounds/userInterfaceGround.png" idle "backgrounds/userInterfaceGround.png" hover "backgrounds/userInterfaceHover.png" ...

Re: Simulate a mouse click
What happens after the backpack? Imagine you are travelling on a road southbound. You stop and "call" a screen and start following a road that leads east. When you reach the end of the eastbound road, you find a teleporter that transports you back to the southbound road / east road juncti...

Re: Simulate a mouse click
Oh...if you've fixed it, then I'll stop working on your screen. By the way, you don't get squares in a grid unless you put frames inside the grid boxes. It seems to me that you can use the grid and have it look the way you want, with rows of items laid out equally horizontally and vertically. Just ...

Re: Simulate a mouse click
Do you have a max number of items that can be in the backpack at any given time? I'm not sure about that honestly. Currently there is no max limit but if I add too many item it starts going off the screen. So I have to either put a cap on the number of items or make my inventory scrollable. Neither...
