Re: Cute Knight Kingdom (sim/RPG, Windows only, commercial)

I want to comment on this one. First and foremost, because this is not only a multi-person project, but also a commercial game, and clearly very similar to Princess Maker, I’m going to be very picky with my analysis. Think of my comment as a commercial review. I’ll be trying to help you making this ...

Re: In 2050, your lover may be a ... robot

Such robots don't exist. so called "strong AI" doesn't exist yet, and it still won't exist for some time, if ever It is a debatable if "strong A.I". is something desirable at all, especially for such use. A "weak AI" which the ability to emulate a perfect lover may be b...

Re: Maid Generator?...

Your name is Renpy Tom. You are 6 years old. You have pink eyes and pink hair, and wear a pink maid uniform. You are very boyish; others describe you as loving, a tomboy and vigorous. You are a catgirl, possessing a variety of feline features. Your speech is interspersed with cat sounds every now a...

Re: anime tutorial

People who can draw real people can draw anime. The opposite is not true. this may be slightly offtopic but i think this is a rather false statement this problem is much more complex People who can draw manga characters well usually can also do realism to some extent (because they developed a sense...

Re: Some questions regarding Game Developing

I think for something so complex, some "true" programming language like C# would be the best choice You should keep in mind something like that will require tons of graphic art, otherwise it'll look like shit Also I'm not sure if you mean true 3d backgrounds or just "simulated" 3...

Re: [The Dreaming] v0.9 (windows only)

Heh. I somehow expected there would be at least a few reactions like that one. So if you prefer Ending 5, well, feel free to. It's a much more classic ending than the sorta "post-modern" Ending 6. it may have been because i spent 5 or so hours on it and it was already 4 in the morning, do...

Re: [The Dreaming] v0.9 (windows only)

No offense but I think the 6 ending was rather stupid, especially after all the trouble of getting it, and loosing my precious sleep hours

Disregarding that, the overall writing was great, the music was great, the graphic was nice, the 5'th ending was nice too

About this http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/download/file.php?id=5372&mode=view This may be a bit late but i just saw it and I though I'd comment. Personally I wouldn't change anything about this piece. It looks like a solid and complete vision to me. The seemingly unfitting elements make a very...

this http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TrueArt because tvtropes is such a great source of knowledge ; p but really, that link does describe art well, and deeply. It also lampshades a couple of valid and interesting points related to how people view art (all the art related tropes) if someon...

Re: Need Writer

I can write an outline well enough, I think. It's filling the gaps that I really don't like doing, I guess, because it bores me. That's probably why I usually only manage to finish short stories (like below 5000 words). My favorite activity is probably worldbuilding.

Re: Dream ComPlex v2

This game is a kinetic novel right? Meaning no choice and only one ending. But I can't unlock any picture in the gallery. It always locked. meaning the gallery is broken though it worked for me, oh well only one ending for now though maybe it'll change in the future if I decide to grow it a bit mor...

Re: A question about freeware graphic resources.

If you can't draw but want original backgrounds, but can't draw and can't get or don't want to get a graphic artist, consider getting a camera and making your own photos of the neighborhood. Don't use other people photos unless you really need it for some reason (fantasy backgrounds perhaps). Using ...

Re: Naming System - Japanese style vs English style

Nothing wrong with using Japanese names at all if that's what you want, especially in fantasy or sci-fi settings. But, if you are writing about real world, in a real world setting, you should consider the place and why the character has a Japanese name. For example if you say your story action plays...

Re: Time factor

I have a great problem finishing any longer story actually, mostly because i get bored, i guess, or i want it to be perfect. but lol, if you(or someone else) would pay me, let's say, 1 000 000 $ for it, I assure you i'd get magically motivated And i'd write you a whole book, 100 000 words, and make ...
