Re: Breast-size joke cliches
ROFL Taleweaver! I think I'm going to agree with papillon with this...I can't think of any breast jokes that didn't either A) insult the person or B) embarass someone...myself, I think you would do better not having them...unless this is meant to be a parody, or you are trying to get someone in the ...

How about a very belated *Congrats!* (college kinda interferred with posting much of anything for 3 months)...
I think adding a new admin is going to help a lot...more admins means more ability to help others, and faster getting rid of those dang spammers!!

Re: A question for RPG lovers: plot or combat?
Yeah, yeah, I'm late on this, but here's my two cents worth... I prefer PLOT over COMBAT in a RPG, because you can have the most wonderful combat system there is, but if the story is bland and lifeless, I'll pass on it. Why? I want to feel for the characters, want to be able to identify with them, W...

Re: Your most favorite obscure game?
Another (somewhat) obscure game is Earthbound for the US. It had a HUGE push when it first came out, but between its so so graphics (the graphics were worse than other games around that time) and as it's a RPG that very much does NOT take itself seriously it was passed on by a lot of people. But it ...

Re: Replay Value?
A couple things interest me when I want to replay a VN.... Was the story good enough for me to WANT to play it again? There may be wonderful extras, but if the story is very ho hum, I'll pass on it, no matter WHAT the extras may be... As a musician, music is important...does the music piece fit the ...

Re: Your most favorite obscure game?
I think the main problem with Legend of Mana was *departure from Secret of Mana*...it's a great game, a lot of fun, but very different from SOM so people were *ugh, forget it* It's not obscure per se but it never got a real push (certainly not like a certain Final Fantasy that showed up around the s...

Re: time-limited games
Sorry I'm a bit late on this topic - hurt in a car crash - but here's my two cents on this... A time limit by itself isn't so bad, but has to be realistic, and please make sure that it isn't *if you make one wrong move or take just a little longer than normal you are screwed*...there was an early PC...

Re: What makes a story?
For me, there HAS to be some sort of plot. Your characters can be golden, but if there is no plot, or a weak plot, I'll pass on it. On the flip side of that, the characters do have to have at least SOME flair. If the plot is wondrous but all the main characters are ho hum and boring...well, I'll pro...

If you want, I'll give it a go too...sometimes it's a good idea to have more than one proofreader anyway, one will catch things the other miss

Re: Improving the Community
I've noticed a few shouting matches....one thing I will say is that it's entirely possible to has complete disagreements and still be civil. POSSIBLY one way to get back to the civility that was abundant when I joined is to much totally ignore the person who is trying to incite someone - easier said...
