Re: Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)

We're on our third collaborator, but we could always use more! Trust me, this story is getting more interesting by the day.

Re: Lluvia de Peces! (Recruiting an artist!)

Rough draft finished! It's exceptionally rough and is still short of my wordcount goal, but all the scenes are in place so I can show them to my artists and get all that stuff going.

Re: Lluvia de Peces! (Recruiting an artist!)

Well, I have art in planning stages and I'm about a fourth of the way done. I'm still on track to finish this draft by Friday.

Re: Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)

Th-This sounds like so much fun !! *o* I'd like to participate, if I may. Making a mess of a Kinetic novel sounds like fun! Question; do we send you a script in Ren'Py format, or just a script? Or either way? (I naturally program as I write a VN, so I can easily send you Ren'Py format, with the com...

Re: Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)

This seems like an interesting project; you can count me in. I have a question, though. Should the transitions between scenes be overt (to make it clear where one author begins, and another ends), or seamless (everything will flow across authors, well as best as they can anyway)? Great! As for tran...

Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)

Reverse Robin is a collaborative little project to have fun with during NaNo '13! For those who don't know, a round robin story has each part of a story written by a different person, making an (in)coherent whole! A reverse robin is doing the same, but starting with the ending and working back to a...

Re: Skill trade anybody?

I'm looking for an artist for my NaNo game. In return I can help you with coding, or editing and proofreading your project.

Here's the recruitment thread I posted, so you can see what I need. If you can't do backgrounds that's okay, the sprites are what I need most!

Recruiting for a short Nano '13 project!

Copied and edited from my Nano thread, which you can check out here : I'm in need of an artist for my NaNoRenO game, Lluvia de Peces. It's a short game about a festival in Honduras, that I'm keeping short and simple, with only two major characters and no more than 7,500 words. I can't draw well enou...

Lluvia de Peces!

I'm in need of an artist! I can't draw well enough on my own, and I figure Nano is a great time for us to all work with people we normally wouldn't. As such I'd like to find an artist I haven't worked with yet. If you're interested in this project, here's what I'll need: [*]Two sprites, with multip...

Re: On picking up boys/girls/men/women...

Personally when I pick up people I go for a bridal carry. Fireman's carry is a lot harder than it looks. I dunno, I find this whole thing weird, even for someone who helps write dating sim type games. I guess try making friends first and if there's someone you really like in your group of friends, ...

Re: Dev Hard 3: Dev Hard With a Schedule

Previous: Finish up some minor scenes for Lady Luck, due today. Status: Mostly complete. I misplaced some script that I'll have to rewrite, but otherwise all scenes are now written, all transitions are taken care of, all the coding is complete. There's a lot I still need to polish, edit, and playtes...

Re: Dev Hard 3: Dev Hard With a Schedule

I'll do this, as long as someone keeps me accountable. Goal: Finish up some minor scenes for Lady Luck. Reason: It's the very last thing I have to do for this game, before I'm left with editing and polishing and all that. Timeframe: Feb 13-15 Status: Not yet completed Goal: Write a scene for a yuri ...

Re: Food for thought - "Replay Value"

This is why I think that creating emergent stories (stories that come out of the rules of the game and the actions of the player) is essential to good replay. If the story is never completely set in stone, but changes as the player goes, then it's possible for the game to be infinitely replayable wi...

Re: Productivity Challenge

I'm definitely realizing that it's a lot easier to work on someone else's project than it is to work on my own. I want to help the other person succeed, and if I drag them down I'm screwing over their goals. On the other hand, if I delay my own stuff it only hurts me, which isn't a big deal. I'd lik...
