I really like the art style you have for your character sprites, it's got a lot of appeal it and the characters are very distinct! The backgrounds are well-drawn too!

Re: Trading/ Collectible Card like Game for Ren'py?
The solution I would have would be to have NPCs to trade with. Take the pokemon games, you can trade with your friends, but just to keep the theme of trading with people to complete your collection, there were a few npcs around that would trade pokemon with you. Often they'd be trading rare pokemon ...

Re: Lemma Soft Forums Reception Desk
Hello! I've just created my account in response to my ... circumstances. One of my lecturer assigned Ren'py-based VN as our end-of-term project (again). While in the last term I managed to learn basic of Ren'py (and thanks a lot to you, guys), the result was really rushed and unsatisfying. This tim...

Re: [Admin] New Rule 16, Services Offered
The point of this change is to get people to stop simply treating LSF solely as a jobs board. I never said that I’m against that. I’m all for it, but how are progress reports and “anti job board iniciative” related. How is double posting in WIP (work in progress ) a “job board” thing. I actually do...

Re: Trading/ Collectible Card like Game for Ren'py?
A word of caution: do not consider making it commercial. An international law was very recently passed that classes such games as gambling and makes for a very messy headache for the developer. Only if they have to pay actual money for booster packs or whatever. The game itself can still be commerc...

Re: Would this work?
I'm a dungeons and dragons nerd and would be interested in the religion and other worldbuildy aspects. And games are make or break for me depending on the characters, and the premise you have is very intriguing. So yes, I would play this! :^) Yay! As long as at least one person thinks they'd play i...

Would this work?
So, I've been brewing ideas for what I'd like to attempt for my first (real) VN outside the practice idea I've started on. I have an idea I think I'd enjoy writing, but I'm not sure it's really the kind of thing other people would be interested in, so I'd like some opinions on it. Disclaimer: I am n...

Re: The Owl-Woman Oracle [tarot reading simulator]
Thank you! OWO is set up at a single-card reading for one of three topics you can select to ask about - so the programming is a really simple random number generator, essentially. Originally, I wanted to do a more complex spread, but I realized pretty quick that the game would probably never ship i...

Re: The Owl-Woman Oracle [tarot reading simulator]
The art in this is gorgeous and I'm always a fan of Tarot! I'm super interested in how complex your programming will be for the actual readings themselves. Are you planning on doing minor arcana illustrations as well?

Re: Characterization
On a whim I'm logging in for the first time in forever to comment on #2, my process for designing characters (at least their personalities/histories.) I use a technique I like to call the "ripple effect" method of character creation. Mainly, you start with a single defining trait and then ...

Re: NaNoReno 2016 General Recruitment Thread
Edit I've been brought on as a colorist for a project! That was fast! Since I'm only a colorist, I might be able to take on a few art tasks for another project too if it's not too excessive (just coloring or line-arting or something!) I'm interested in participating! I am an artist, and though I'm ...

Re: Show your base sketch xD
I start with a REALLY rough first sketch. Mostly to get the energy and gesture down first before I get to refining and trying to get any sort of anatomy perfection. A cartoony and exaggerated doodle to start out with is a good way to get energy in your final drawing even if you refine it a lot after...

Re: Ink's Blots (Critique always welcomed!)
So I thought since this was a VN forum, it was probably about time for me to post a more traditionally anime styled character. Just a sketch, but I may post more at some point. Critique open!

Re: Seeking Concept Artist(s) for Humanoid Monsters
I'm a bit busy right now so I can't promise a quick turn around, but I'm interested in at least throwing a few sketches your way! If you're interested I'd love to see the profiles you have as a starting off point. My art thread is >>here<< though I don't have a ton of creature design in there. Let m...
