Re: article on theme songs for games
Thanks, I'm getting the article ready this week and I think I've addressed your questions. I don't like to post specifics about my rates in public because they vary based on the project circumstances. I always pay singers from the project budget, I never look for free work.

article on theme songs for games
I am planning to write an article on making vocal theme songs for games based on my experiences doing a lot of this. I've currently done 6 of these past projects which have been released, will have a new release for Xmas this year, and have worked on a total of 13 of these including current projects...

Re: Leet Music
I recently composed the introduction for a World Of Warcraft fan podcast. It's heroic fantasy orchestral music, inspired by the music in the game.

Re: Leet Music
In some more old news, I did the theme song for Date Warp from Hanako Games which is also now on Steam. Date Warp was the first VN project I did, back in 2010.

Re: Leet Music
I posted some examples from recent projects (sci-fi music, ambient horror sound and a dramatic mystery cue) on my website here:

Re: Is there any tuts on creating music?
Music is such a diverse field that it's hard to offer advice on this. Nobody has the same path. I think learning to play piano or guitar is a solid first step. Then you might want to try recording, working with MIDI or piano roll interface composing software based on your preferences. Then mixing is...

Re: Leet Music
Ilaine, thanks a lot for the compliment. I really appreciate it.
A bit of old news but Heileen 3 (which I composed the music for) is now on Steam. The music is a mix of Caribbean and European folk influences, and there is also a theme song: http://leetmusic.com/heileen-3-new-hori ... -on-steam/

Re: Finding a Japanese vocalist/song composer/writer for VN?
Just wondering if you got the message I sent, since I see you posted something here. If you'd like I can link out to some of the Japanese musicians I know, and then brainstorm possible ways to collaborate with them. Good luck!
