I use Sendspace.com

Better than Rapidshare, it's fairly unrestrictive and has a 300mb file cap.

It's not a permanent hosting place, but I use it if it's an incremental internal release.

Thanks everyone! ^^ Progress report. I just finished and released internally the foundation revision for Noctua. To note, I don't have the "I said" and "Celesta said" things in there because they'll be stated in the game itself in the textbox. I've tried to make it so the speaker...

Sola looks extremely pretty, and of course there's Lucky Star, Kyoto Animation's next offering.

I'm a fan of the Tales series, so I'm also looking forward to the Tales of Symphonia animation adaptation.

Noctua - Ephemeral Whispers - [Version 0.2.1 Demo III Ready!

The idea of dreams, especially in the world and society today, compose the main theme of Noctua. There are three main characters: Ereyan - A skeptic and realist is how I would best describe him. He was once an avid daydreamer, but left that behind. He is currently in high school. Celesta - A girl Er...

Misu and Mikey both made excellent points, but let me add in a couple of green Rupees to the ever growing pile of change. Since Narcissu has become an interesting case study, are there other groups like Stage-nana that exist out there made of professionals producing free fan-made doujin games? It's ...

Packager breaking the skip function

I really don't know how that happened. When using Ren'py 5.6.7 to export the latest version to a zip file, when I unpackaged it and ran the program, I found out that the Skip Function no longer worked. I went ahead and tested the exporter with "The Question" that is included with Ren'py an...

Just played through Binary Hearts this morning. I can see very well how you managed to balance the two. ^_^ I've been planning writing the whole thing as a story, edit for continuity and other problems, and then begin the process of converting it to Ren'py. It's first person as I'm writing right now...

Thanks. I think I'll check Binary Hearts out soon. I currently have half a page of just dialogue between two characters in one block, so I think I'll add some my character's thoughts interspersed in there.

Balancing narration and speech in visual novels

I'm working on the story for a second visual novel project. How should one best balance dialogue and the main character's narration for a [linear] visual novel? Are there any tips for breaking up long, but important conversations?
