Re: Ren'Py 6.10.1 Released

6.10.1 has a severe bug where show block ATL animation parameters can get stuck halfway when running through them in skip mode. This is rather terrible if it affects alpha.

I see someone fixed the problem with the spammy twitter but there's still a spam blog messing up my RSS feed. Not funny at all.

BTW I would very much appreciate it if you could keep me out of your pretentious bullshit, okay.

And an ARG pretty much by definition consists of more than just rapidfire spamming twitter with meaningless junk.

I think the Twitter sidebar thing has turned out to be a very bad idea for pretty obvious reasons and I highly suggest removing it.

Re: Ren'Py 6.10.1 Released

Sigh. So I upgraded to 6.10.1 a little later than usual (just now), but I sure didn't get far. TransitionAnimation seems to not work with pixellate anymore for some reason. logo = anim.TransitionAnimation(Solid("#000"), 1.0, pixellate, "logo.png") => Exception: Surface alphas do ...

Re: Sepia filter for text boxes?

Sure it can be done, you'll just have to make a textbox for every combination of sprites and backgrounds you have.

Re: Aspect Ratio

Spoilers, most widescreen LCDs are not, in fact, 16:9, but 16:10. Looks like you have to make three versions now~

Then again, the current crop of netbooks run in 1024x600, which is neither. Guess you have to make a version for those too.

And that's slated to be changed sooner or later anyway, though it may take a while (in Python 3 all strings are Unicode by default).

Anyway, ATL is a great idea in theory and using it is awesome, I just don't appreciate the unholy number of bugs its bolting on to the rest of Ren'Py introduced.
