I think I agree with DespairParty in that the sprites feel a bit unfinished. I love these sprites and I think the sketchy look and everything is absolutely adorable! They just need something a little more to signal that every visual choice is deliberate. I'm not sure what that "something" ...

Intriguing -- I think not having the sprites contributes to the sense of mystery already. I like the backgrounds!
