Re: Different main menu images and persistant variables
I've tried the code and it gives me an error. On line 181 of E:\Renpy project\Last summer/game/screens.rpy: Expected screen language statement. ground 'menu/main/mm1.jpg' ^ But the problem is not with the main menu anyway, or the fact that I am using 3 of them. They work just fine. The problem are t...

Re: Different main menu images and persistant variables
I've managed to do what I wanted to do by using this tutorial. I can't believe I hadn't seen this before. http://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/doc/cookbook/Changing_the_Main_Menu_after_completing_the_game It changes the main menu image as I wanted, but when I click load or options from the main me...

Re: Different main menu images and persistant variables
@Mild Curry I figured as much. I just thought by using renpy.full_restart() it would restart the game, reevaluate the condition and change the bg. @DragoonHP I don't understand exactly what you mean. Define it as a new screen or something? You don't mean label as in normal, "jump to" label...

Different main menu images and persistant variables
Disclaimer: I think something like this has been asked before, but I've searched the forum and I haven't found an answer. If there is one, sorry for posting again. ^^; The idea: What I want is for the main menu to change as I unlock different endings. First all chars are grayscale and after unlockin...

Re: [WIP] Revenance: The Blue-Eyed Demon [RPG, optional GxB]
Oooh, I love fantasy stories and rpgs! The characters seem interesting, I could picture them in my head as I read their descriptions.
If your gender is changeble does that mean BxB? Or does it mean you can romance the girls? I'm just curious, I intend to play as a girl
Good luck with it!

Re: Last Tuesday
I wake up one morning, and everyone is gone. If it wasn't such a terrifying thought, I could almost say I want that to happen to me just to see what I would do. This is why when I read about this game, I immediately wanted to play it. Now, my thoughts... The whole game I had this feeling it wasn't a...

Re: What are your currents favourites?
Not my all-time favorites, but right now I'm watching Ao no Exorcist, Beelzebub and (just finished watching) AnoHana. I love all of them for different reasons. Beel is halarious, Ao is action-packed and AnoHana was touching. I recommend them all! ♥

Re: Doppelganger: Dawn of the Inverted Souls (GXB+mystery)+D
I just finished playing the demo. I really like the mystery genre so I'm very curious to find out what's doing on. I can't say that I have a fav character already, I think I need to see more of them. For example Raphael didn't have much screen time. So far I liked Yuri (Bad boy ♥) and Lee (I don't u...

Re: My first game demo
What are you making the game in? It's obviously not renpy since it has only 2 files in it.
I've tried running it but I get an error: fmodex.dll is missing from my computer. It might be just my computer. Sorry I couldn't be of help.

Re: [WIP] (P)lanets -GxB [w/DEMO!]
So I was lurking around the forums like I usually do and noticed that this thread had a demo in it... how did I not see that before? Anyway, I downloaded and played aaaaand.... wait for it.... it was awesome!!! :P I really liked the story and as much as I wanted not to like him, Kaius was my favorit...

Re: That Cheap and Sacred Thing - Drama/Sci-fi
Best kinetic novel ever! At least best that I've ever played. While I was waiting for the download I read the comments and as SilverxBlue said, I would've cried had I not known it was going to be sad. I almost did when I saw the final CG with Jude half destroyed. I just love a good story that can st...

Re: Why do you make games?
I don't know if I am a game maker since I haven't completed my first game yet, but here's what I can tell you so far: 1. It's fun, sometimes frustrating or annoying, but that just makes it more satisfying in the end. 2. I've played a lot of games from this forum and I thought, as the OP said, it wou...

Adding a top bar at run-time?
To help me keep an eye on points without checking the variable viewer, I wrote this little thing: define pointsframe = True init python: if pointsframe: def points_frame(): ui.frame(yminimum=None, foreground = None, xpos=0,ypos=0,xfill=True) ui.vbox() ui.text("Alden: %d, Seth: %d, Devlin: %d&quo...
