I think forced playing order is a good idea if the story is extremely expansive, and certain routes build on top of information that you would only gain from previous routes, but may not be relevant to the current route's story. So basically like what F/SN does, or what Asceai said.

Story/script now finished. Woohoo! Some hilarious shit.

There are lots of ways to do speech bubbles, some much easier than others. There could be just plain text on top of the character (no bubble), there could be text on top of a bubble with rounded corners and an arrow, and their could be speech bubbles in the traditional comic sense, where the speech...
