Re: Train of Afterlife (Mystery, Psychological, Horror)

@Der Tor I have never heard of it. ^^; I don't watch many movies. As for inspiration, I am not entirely sure. I was inspired by many things. The ghost train was inspired by phantom train in FFVI. The stories of random shadow passengers was inspired by Catherine. The change of atmosphere was inspired...

Should I be happy that I'm not the only one who ever put an egg into a microwave? .___.'''
Well, at least the microwave is still intact after it exploded.

Re: Just my question about the market

Ahahaha, tried it before, and no one cares to see. I'm definitely not the only one who have attempted translating games to Japanese and failed horribly. Exactly what LateWhiteRabbit said, you don't go to place where VN thrives, it would take a miracle for them to even notice you exist, let alone buy...

Re: VNs slowly gaining Western popularity?

Why are casual gamers different? They are exactly the type of audience I think we should be looking at. Going after hard core gamers is pointless. They have their games and they will stubbornly stick by them. However there is a great need for story driven games and the gamer market is only expandin...

Re: VNs slowly gaining Western popularity?

Now is this really the fault of the story being not well written enough? Or is it really the wrong expectation people have with VN labeled as games? We should keep both in mind, just as we should keep in mind who it is that is giving the opinion. My point is that we shouldn't assume that it is the ...

Re: VNs slowly gaining Western popularity?

I think there is a difference between people getting bored reading a story or not reading at all. I would be bored too if all I do in a game is simply clicking through texts that I don't even bother to read. I don't think most people hate reading. It's more like when one plays game, they aren't expe...

Re: Loren Amazon Princess beta demo [RPG, all combos]

I followed Jack's instruction and it still doesn't work. Does that mean I have to get some driver before it works? (what kind of driver btw?)

Re: Loren Amazon Princess beta demo [RPG, all combos]

I tried the demo just now, and well...the GUI is not showing properly, so the brown text appears on the dark background making it impossible to read. Orz
I tried the battle though. It's pretty well made. :)

Looking for Dedicated Proofreaders

I am looking for someone to help me proofreading my games. I would prefer if you: 1) Very good in English. Preferably native speakers. 2) Have plenty of free time, and be dedicated at it. Well, the game is long. I hope you can stick until the very end. I will of course give you full credit in the ga...

Re: Is completing games hard?

Completing a small game is relatively easy, that's why most people would advise you to start small. Although one of the biggest problems in game making is actually estimating how much the actual work is going to take. A small project may actually ended up much bigger than you thought.
