Re: A Stroke of Apprehension [GxG][Slice of life/Friendship]

4. Is it disappointing that you can't romance all the girls and instead are locked into a single storyline when it comes to romance? I am the few people who actually never pursue all romances because I get tied down to one and one only, so ;) Thanks for the feedback, but I'd like to clarify somethi...

Re: A Stroke of Apprehension [GxG][Slice of life/Friendship]

New Clarissa Sprite!!(not 100% finished but close enough) So happy with it! This is her design for year 1 of Highschool. This means she is only 6-10 months older than she was in the prologue. This puts her at 12, with her birthday being in the fall right before school started up. Rachel is also 12 a...

Re: A Stroke of Apprehension [GxG][Slice of life/Friendship]

Just wanted to tell you that I love the premise of this vn! I'll definitely be checking on it from time to time. o v o Thanks! Might I ask what about the premise you like? Due to my rapid changing plans as I write, some elements change as I go, so its worth knowing what is liked and what isn't so I...

Re: A Stroke of Apprehension [GxG][Slice of life/Friendship]

A quick sketch I did of what Laura will likely look like during the Clarissa timeline. Her story takes place across the 1st year of high school or so. Unless I change my mind, there will now be 2 sets of teen sprites, 1 for year 1 of high school and 1 set for the older year 3 girls. I really feel li...

Re: AAA:Book 2 [Otome, Romance, GxG] New Animated sprite!

Just did a self read through of the script thus far, clocking in at 7 minutes, 1600 words if you choose the options with the longest text. So its basically half the length of book 1 atm. Book 2 has a lot more branching paths then book 1, so the duration for a single playthrough will actually be a lo...

Re: Does Ren'Py support Live 2D?

I actually got the code thanks to the help of other people, info here: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=33553 Its basically defining a variable for animations being true, and then making a button in prefs that defines if its true or false. You set each thing that would be ani...

Re: Currently there is not any way to implement Live2D or Em

Slowdowns aren't too bad, 1 animation on screen only shouldn't cause any issues, 2 might if your computer is really old, 3 on low range computers and if speeding through the animations. Expressions would require some tinkering to get to look good, but no reason why you couldn't manage it. So long as...

Re: Does Ren'Py support Live 2D?

hello astrokeofmadness ^^ With the png export feature, you can create animations and then utilize them with renpys animation feature i tried a game that did that once, but my computer couldn't process it as fast and it made playing the story a complete nightmare! there was just too much lag...

Re: Does Ren'Py support Live 2D?

A Tad confused, seems a bunch of people posted here with the assumption you cant use live2d effectively atm with Renpy, which in fact you can. With the png export feature, you can create animations and then utilize them with renpys animation feature. What you need to do si create an idle animation t...

Re: Currently there is not any way to implement Live2D or Em

I've got live2d sprites running in my game- example see avatar, for now at least I don't know if there is any way to get live2d functions into renpy though. You can however just export your animations as png sequences and input them into renpy as animations.

Best way to display animations for optimization?

I figured it was worth asking, since It seems to not run great on older pc's with multiple animations running. I'm currently using this method- image thisisananimation: "picture01.png" pause 0.05 "picture02.png" pause 0.05 "picture03.png" pause 0.05 repeat Which obvious...

Re: AAA:Book 2 [Otome, Romance, GxG] New Animated sprite!

Was curious if it was possible to animate other things using this technique and it seems like it is. Here is a test tree, obviously a real version would be drawn better lol. I think the mild wind animation works pretty decently. Might use this for something if I get the chance, and it isn't too heav...

Re: Creating a graphics toggle without using if/else?

Thanks Sundown, I'm gonna try to see if i can understand that enough to reverse engineer use it for my own project in the future. Edit- got the first step to work, so super thanks, that's soo much better and will fix my issue of having to include a no animation patch now lol. Okay I got the prefs bu...
