Re: A Kinetic VN
I mean suggestion about pricing and things that you will need to build your vn ^^ Since you mentioned that you're not familiar with making vn, I wonder if you're familiar with reading/playing vn itself? If not, I suggest you start doing it so you'll know how the story telling in visual novel works. ...

One thing that really bothers me is the menu text on the bottom of the screen. You know, the 'save', 'load', 'skip', etc? I know they're renpy's default menu, but the text in unreadable, at least for me. I suggest you change the font to something more readable. Other than that, the rest looks promis...

Re: Hello, I am an illustrator and want to create something
Posting some of your work here along with the link to your portfolio site (deviantart, instagram, etc) will help you get client faster. Or you can take a look at 'free project' thread and start applying since it sounds like you're still building your portfolio and just looking for experience. Good l...

Re: Feedback for handsome butler
Ooohh awesome job, Steamgirl! The finished version looks wonderful! I still have some suggestions that you may want to consider next time you draw another character. Looking at the full body drawing of him makes me realize that his body from waist below is unnaturally long. Learning anatomy takes ti...

Re: What should I do if the Artist I hired takes way too long?
I pretty much agree with everything that Zetsubou has said. You may also want to consider sending the artist one last warning message before you lodge a dispute (if you decide to do that). Tell them that it's your last email and that you will wait until certain date to get response from them along w...

Re: Halloween 2017 Game Releases and Sales Megathread!
Just want to say that I hope this thread will be revived for next year's Halloween, and the years after. You might also want to consider opening the thread again at the beginning of October (or maybe a month before?) so people will have time to prepare their game for Halloween sale/release.

Re: When a character design has no face, is animation needed?
What is this '999' that you mentioned? Can you provide link to some video or something? I agree with Fuseblower, the real question here is whether animation is feasible or not and to know the answer, you need to try animate one of your character. Frame per frame animation is A LOT of work and you ha...

I'm pretty sure people will want to read some of your work first before they ask you to collaborate with them. Can you post some link to your work?

edit.jpg I hope you don't mind me scribbling on your drawing, because it's easier to explain this way. One thing I realized the most is that his chin is very pointy. Even on bishonen style, male character is still drawn with rectangular chin. Sasquatchii['s examples are good references. It'll be ev...

Re: Creating a Team: How?
Profit sharing can be used as payment, but as mikolajspy stated before, it's not recommended because it's trickier than simply commissioning poeple. Professional also tend to avoid profit sharing, unless it came from well-known developer. But if people love your idea and you can make them believe in...

Re: This style for a visual novel?
It can work, that's for sure. But honestly, you don't have to worry too much at this point. Regardless some minor miss on anatomy, I think they're just the artist's style and if you keep them consistent, people will accept them in the end. Rather than showing just one or two sprites to test the wate...

Re: custom protag yay or nay?
@trooper6 OH YES ANOTHER DRAGON AGE PLAYER! /highfive! The thing with customized protagonist, at least for me, is that I tend to match their appearance with their personality. I will cringe if I pick certain appearance for the protagonist, but their response/how they speak didn't reflect their appea...
