Re: [WIP] Visual Novel Maker (VNMaker)
No, if you post elsewhere, the mods will put it back here because it's the most appropriate subforum.
Yeah, if you can post a form of demo, go right ahead. It's not finished, but there were other engines posted here that weren't done either. It was a chance to get, as you said, valuable feedback.

Re: [WIP] Visual Novel Maker (VNMaker)
Awesome! I like the idea of being able to add movies and stuff, too. I'm seeing a lot of potential here. Lol, don't take it personal. You posted in the "Other Visual Novel Engines" subforum, which people don't visit as much compared to "General Discussion" or "Works in Progr...

How to Make Electronic Contracts?
Hello, Does anyone have any idea how to make electronic contracts? Ones you can sign digitally instead of having to fax and physically sign. The only services I found charge for it. Where can I find free electronic contract-makers? Or... How can I make a contract I already have, so you can digitally...

That's great to hear
Hopefully you can get a working demo out soon, so people can try it out for themselves.

Re: [WIP] Visual Novel Maker (VNMaker)
Nice to see new people making engines. You sound like you're really committed to finishing this, so I look forward to seeing any updates. This sounds great to someone who prefers a more visual approach to making visual novels. If you don't already have this planned, here's one feature I'd like: when...

Re: How Do You Buy Song Rights For a Game?
Thanks, trooper6. I checked the faq pages on ASCAP and BMI, and wish they explained this as simply as you just did. I was mostly confused because there was no mention for licenses for games, only film, television, things like that. At least now I know the synch license applies to games. Thanks again...

How Do You Buy Song Rights For a Game?
I've been reading about the different royalties, such as performing, mechanical, and synch. For a game, I think a synch license ("reproduction of music is made onto a soundtrack of a film or TV show") is the closest thing. I'm aware the prices vary based on how popular the song is, and the...

Composer and Background Artist Needed!
http://i.imgur.com/Lb5y8Xw.jpg?2 Hi! I need a composer and background artist for our game, Vampires: The New Birth. The premise is you're a newly made vampire in our modern world, learning how to survive. The link to its main post on this forum can be found in my signature below. The composer would...

Re: How to make a KN appealing?
Whether it's kinetic, or has branches, a compelling story is always the most important factor. It's easy to forget that visual novels are purely a storytelling device. This is just from my personal experience, but the idea of a "visual novel" tends to be synonymous with "dating game w...

Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
This thread turned out to be more extensive than I thought. Clearly, there's room for better organizing/presenting Ren'Py's information, so people can more efficiently learn it. I think the most practical first step is to make an official survey for Ren'Py users; what's their biggest concern, what w...

Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
@trooper Yeah, Code Academy is where I first learned the basics of Python, before trying to learn Ren'Py. The main difference we'd need is unlike the academy, we need to provide the solution to the answers. They only provide hints, and you have to find the solution in the forums (that's my only issu...
