Re: The Life of a Pacifist

Interesting, as usual...

Also, as usual I caved in, but only then did the learning experience started.

I also like that the author does not hold our hand and tries to over-explain the game. Much better to let us do our ow thinking.

Re: RE: Alistair++ - New and extended!

Ok, now I realize I completely missed the point of the game, since I was just concentrating in finding clues to solve the riddle, and spreading as much as possible my reputation gains (^_^'#)

*goes back to play the game as it was intended...*

Re: RE: Alistair++ - New and extended!

I'm new to this, and I don't get it. What is there to unlock, and how do you go about doing it? And how about the different paths? I have the feeling I got the info I needed to make my guess of the game, and it was correct. So what is there more to do? As for the game, it was excellent, beautiful gr...

Re: On playing Ren'Py games online

My current though is a fat server/thin client approach. Ren'Py has a fairly nice separation between the code that generates a tree of renders, and the code that draws those renders to the screen. My current idea is I could somehow exploit that separation to send a list of drawing commands down to t...

On playing Ren'Py games online

Since a few weeks I have been thinking how nice would it be if Ren'Py could be played online. I thought about discussing it in this forum, but since I have no track record of developing games on Ren'Py, I thought I would bide my time. But as it turns out, I read that PyTom is also thinking along the...

Re: [NaNoRenO 2010] Working Woman

Interesting idea. I found the text more helpful to interpret the emotional value of an answer, followed by the picture. The voice was much more ambiguous. But perhaps it could be made to be an interesting option, but it requires a lot of top quality voice acting. What did you conclude from your rese...

Re: Unable to create new projects

Still could not fix the issue, but maybe I'm starting to understand a bit what's the problem. I installed ren'py in my arch linux system via a AUR package. This package installed ren'py in /usr/share, and I guess was not properly tested, ending up with ren'py wanting to install the projects director...

Unable to create new projects

I downloaded ren'py 6.10.2e on my linux box's home folder, but I have several problems with it: If I try to click on Create New Project, I get the following error message: Error Could not create the project directory. The eror was:[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/usr/share/new project' Why is ren'py ...
