Well, I'm a bit of a novice, but I 'll offer my perspective. I just watch, read, and listen to everything I can. I more so try to not copy the story or themes, but try to recreate in other people what I felt at the time. Am I makeing sense? For me its all about how the story feels.

I've finally made a return, and after hammering out much of the story, I think I'm have something good in the works. Here is an... interesting way to describe the story. A city ruined by the darkness of science, and a man who regrets his life wanders through the squalor of this world, and woman purs...

I belive that I'm irregular in saying this, but a good story is one that the writer pours his full spirit into. If you think its what it should of been, if you don't sell out then you've written a great story, no matter what I or anyone else thinks.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I finally got struck by a good idea (I hope it's a good idea) and have decided to apply the snowflake method, with my Idea. I'll see how it plays out.

I was actually considering reading "The art of inventing characters" by Geroges Polti, I'm already going to read "The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations", then keeping what works and throwing out what dosen't. This way I can avoid makeing underdeveloped characters

Basicly, I'm asking for any kind of general tip from anyone. Right now my biggest concern is getting started. I don't want a "write this kind of story" prompt, just some kind of advice for getting a story started. Still, don't limit yourself to answering that question. I need all the help ...

Thank you for your advice, I like to learn from my mistakes, so feel free to find any other mistakes, espicially when you see the letter "N" in places it shouldn't be, my "n" key needs fixing.
