Re: Lilly

How is "transexual" a disrespectful term? If the author used the word tranny or " trap ", now THAT would be a different story. The term would be more incorrect, than being purposely disrespectful to me. I don't think anyone said that, just that the term is a bit antiquated and o...

Re: Lilly

Trans"sexual"? Isn't that an outmodded term? Every trans person I know uses "transgender". For the most part, yes (here, have a free link: http://www.GLAAD.org/Reference/Transgender ). Though it's one of those terms that depends on those who are speaking or being called as such....

Re: SHINRAI - Broken Beyond Despair [Murder Mystery]

This game looks nice. I know it's a murder mystery but it seems really fun. :) This looks like it'll be fun. Well... it is a murder mystery and the overall story will be dealing with a few rather dark and serious topics. That was noticed, silly. If you're concerned about people finding murder myste...

Re: Self Insert MC's Versus MC's with Personality

I have played games with both types, and have enjoyed both. Agreed. It really depends on the story you're trying to portray and the feel you're going for. Excellent point! Just as you, Sasquatchii, I do enjoy both, but only if I'm warned about what what I'm getting into. Very recently I played two ...

Re: Briar [GxG, GxB] [Fantasy] [Fairytale]

So much detail and beauty in this! I can't wait to see the finished product and I wish you all the best moving forward. Most people ignore the Basile version of Sleeping Beauty (though for good reason, I suppose). Either way, it's always nice to see people who look at more than the Germanic folklore...

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Again, a few episodes were minor stinkers obviously trying to get THE MESSAGE out to kids (Cutie Mark Crusaders fight bullying? Spike earns pocket money by walking pets? Seriously?!) Don't forget the "I Owe You My Life" episode. I do agree with what you said about the morality speeches fe...

Re: Most iritaiting grammar/style mistakes?

While I have never had an extensive discussion with you, I can at least agree with Obscura in saying that your English is very good. I do have a style tip, though. I work with a lot of ESL students (not teaching English, Lord help me if I am in charge of helping someone else with grammar) and the on...

Re: [GXB] [Fantasy] Syphethia's Discoveries

Well personally, I'd love to know a bit more about the world. The sprites look a bit high fantasy (as well as the concept of light/dark elves). However you have the mention of restaurants (which I know aren't strictly a modern concept) and phones (which are). Could you share a bit more, I'm very int...

Looks quite promising! I'm a fan of the logo and menus you posted, they look great.

Only 20% done now and you plan to have a demo next week? Looks like you're working quite smart, I wish you the best of luck. Can't wait for the demo!

Re: How to avoid cliché in a Japanese high school setting?

Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but it seems like you've made up your mind on going with the high school setting and no one can truly change your mind. With your mention of 'feelings' of the slice-of-life anime, it seems like this is an important subject for you. I realize that the setting is ...

Well heck, I wanna play with you guys!

I also recommend the Extra Credits site itself. In addition to the excellent videos, you'll also find articles, podcasts, suggested reading, and a decent forum as well.
