Re: How do you decide what fonts to use in your VN?
Ah, comic sans. In one earlier project I made(that I never quite released) I had a character that was a complete douchebag. He acted like people from Jersey Shore and spoke only in Comic Sans. I didn't release it because I didn't like how the plot turned out too much. Too fourth-wall breaking for my...

Re: How much time/money do you spend on research?
I can get pretty obsessed with research. I had a few archery classes to make sure I got an archery scene right - then I cut the archery scene right out of the story because I realized it couldn't possibly work in the context I wanted it to.

Re: How many BG's do commercial games normally have?
I can't say that I'm sure anything I'm about to suggest is in any way recommendable, since I'm also a beginner here, but what I can do is ramble about how I'm going to handle my project and my reasoning behind it, hopefully being corrected by somebody who knows more about visual novels than I do alo...

Re: Your games a reflection of yourself
One time, a critic condemned Conan Doyle for criticizing a famous fictional detective. Thing is, Doyle never did that. Sherlock Holmes did. Doyle responded to that critic with a poem: Sure there are times when one cries with acidity, 'Where are the limits of human stupidity?' Here is a critic who sa...

Re: Games about building strictly platonic relationships
I'm not exactly new to writing, but I am completely new to visual novel writing, so I don't have a good hang of the audience in general and have no idea what people like or not. I'd welcome your works in the future! Don't "dumb down" the writing like I've seen other writers try to mimic J...

Re: Games about building strictly platonic relationships
And male-made game on male relationships. How's that for realism and authenticness? That one would probably need explosions for most guys to be interested  Not really. Boston Legal, a great legal drama, focused a lot on the bromance between two characters, Alan Shore and Denny Crane. Their rel...

Re: Games about building strictly platonic relationships
I love a good bromance. Sometimes(most of the times) I prefer a good bromance to romance. For example, while there are a lot of people who like to "ship" Sherlock Holmes and Watson, I think their relationship is much better described as a good old bromance. And one of the best bromances of...

Re: When a EPIC plot becomes banal?
I just read a review of Planet Stronghold made by an user in my forums (not sure if he also visit lemmasoft): http://beliar-cos.blogspot.com/2011/10/planet-stronghold-review.html I disagree on some points, in particular on the fact that the game CGs are of "poor quality" (!!!) But since t...

Re: The Silver Age[Murder Mystery]
A gentleman thief who announces what he's going to steal and when. Reminds me of a certain thief....(Kaitou Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid yosh!) And a case of a murder when no footprints in the snow. Reminds me of a case in Detective Conan. >:3 You have caught my interest. Hope you thought of another way t...

Re: The Silver Age[Murder Mystery]
Thanks! Yeah, you're right, I guess I should have something in the topic at least. I edited an excerpt into the opening post just so that it wouldn't look so...empty, until I got the screenshots, haha.
