Re: How Important Is Movement/Action During Dialogue

You should mix them. The first one is too impersonal, it may become less engaging. The secon one is way too personal, it can get kinda uncomfortable. I still don't like the long sentence about picking up the cup and watching the steam. It doesn't give anything important to the story, it just paints ...

Re: How Important Is Movement/Action During Dialogue

I think narration between the dialogue is fine. I myself put in some narrative bits when I feel the dialogue is getting too long and tedious. Tho I prefer these bits between the dialogue to be shorter so I won't forget what the characters were talking about. The first chunk of your example is a bit ...

Re: Background Art Creation Suggestions?

1) Learn basics of the perspective like the horizon line, vanishing points and such. I have a small collection of perspective tutorials on my Tumblr http://yondamoegi.tumblr.com/tagged/perspective I found this one pretty good for the beginners http://yondamoegi.tumblr.com/post/117984037338/notes-on-...

Re: POV for CGs

You can use both 1st POV and 3rd POV together in the same game. I've made a post in this thread https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=37214&hilit=CGs Well, to answer the question, I like every kind of CG if they're done right, fulfill their purpose and make sense in the stor...

Re: make stat building events more interesting?

I'll agree with Imperf3kt. I don't know about your game as much as you do, but if it's just about the personality shaping, why not integrate it into the story? Like, in the common route part of the story, when you're introducing the love interests? That would be more meaningful than random events, I...

Re: Necrobarista [urban fantasy, suspense]

Visuals question: what do you think of the 3D graphics and animations presented in the trailer? Very stylish, I love them. Though it looked kinda weird at 0:35, the whole body was still and these overtly animated sweatdrops looked more alive than a human person. Uncanny Valley thing. And then she k...

Re: XOXO Droplets [Otome Dating Sim][Comedy][Free/Paid]

I usually don't like jerky boyfriends but when the MC is a jerk herself, it's so fun and refreshing. Also, fortunately I'm doing better with cliques this time, no one hates me yet. Maybe I should push myself to become the prom queen.

Will there be any walkthrough on how to open all dating spots?

Re: Otome Game Query

But do you have to copy their appearance? Like, why would you do that? Should it be an incentive for players to buy the game? Because I still think it's weird Well, if it's just because you don't know about character design and plan to use the cosplayers as a reference then I more or less understand...

Re: Otome Game Query

I don't like generic protagonists, but protagonists based on real people are bad in my book too. Maybe it depends on how much they resemble their original counterparts, but the whole "based on real people" feels really off

The arms look awkward because: 1a) They feel like they don't have bones. Just like pool noodles. https://i.imgur.com/5VI3GQ6.png 1b) The wrist is thicker than the biceps, no structure https://i.imgur.com/TJFBWqC.png 1c) The lines of the forms are either almost parallel or are clashing with each othe...

Re: Bleeding Colors to other color art style!

Think of them not just as bleeding colors, but also as reflected light. It'll give you some structure in where and how to bleed because colors don't just bleed anywhere. TL;DR reflected light is the light that bounces off the objects around the character and lights up the character's shadowy places,...

Re: Using SAI2 for background drawings

Hm, using all three points of perspective does sound neat. In Medibang it is just one point you can use, tho if you save all 3 with "Save perspective" it's not that bad.

Anyway, I'm glad it's working out for you.
