Re: Is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle auto-text?

Thank-you! I think I tried that but pushed it the other way thinking 'more speed' :)
I shall try again.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle auto-text?

I've been reading my way through quite a few visual novels and and have been confused by the absence of an 'auto' button in a few stories.
I know I do miss the obvious sometimes, so is there a well known workaround that I don't know?

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

That and when I think of a realtionship I would be happy with I either want one where we can immediately jump to the point where we have been married for 30 years *or* the one where I get to do my thing and he can do his thing. I think you could substitute *and* for *or*...it is definitely a benefi...

Re: [Idea Thingy] A 'book' together

Doing your partner's work might also end up costing more time than simply waiting a little bit, because your partner is doing that job with a reason; she/he's probably more skilled at it than you are. Meaning she/he will also be faster at the job than you are when they can begin. That's a good poin...

Re: [Idea Thingy] A 'book' together

I'm not trying to be a prophet of doom, even though it sounded a little that way  You may not expect your partner to come up with the goods when she is busy...but if that is the only week you can work and you can't move on because you are waiting for something it starts to be quicker and ea...

Re: [Idea Thingy] A 'book' together

I think there's a 'three legged race' component to to the team-work dynamic as well. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xFrqqkQ9uE8/Tax5jIl35VI/AAAAAAAABSw/tFVQeL3GMMU/s1600/Three-Legged+Race.gif Given the difficulties in finding time, motivation and mental space to complete projects, you more than double th...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)

Enjoyed Ewe of the Falklands so glad to have another of your games to try. This is equally unique and creative. The distorted faces and backgrounds were very effective, as was the continually passing train. The soundtrack really enhanced the gameplay, adding significantly to the atmosphere. Well cho...

Re: Tea For Two [KN][Romantic comedy][Free][30 mins]

I uploaded this completed novel to a few extra places to see how many readers might be open to the KN / VN format. One thing that really interested me was that the curator of Freeonlinenovels.com placed this story in the romance section, with a graphic tag, rather than the graphics / comics section;...

Re: Pitching Your Visual Novel - What's Your Premise?

I found that with my latest story, I changed the pitch three times..once for WIP, http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=17375 once for completed games, http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17528 and again for the approval queue for the Ren'py games list. This...

Re: [Idea Thingy] A 'book' together

I think it is really tough to add visual story (action) elements using a static character in front of a background...the standard VN format. The characters in that format do add to a story, but not classic 'visual story telling' as you would think of it in script-writing terms. Comics seem at the ot...

Yes, the love story is maybe a little more complex than you are used to, but stick with it, and see how you feel at the end.
