Re: [WIP] Twelfth Honor Deed (+demo)

First off, quite technically impressive. Even the small little nuances like having comments for the save files are things that me going, and the UI stuff looks pretty nice too... though I'm a little curious if you have any plans on changing from the default font... Since the text itself is the one e...

Re: Fading Hearts Parallel

I gave this a whirl, having some interest in your flagship Fading Hearts game, and unfortunately I came away rather disappointed. It feels like it's just part of a whole, which it is... but it doesn't do well as a stand-alone. It feels so incomplete, like so many things are missing, that it makes it...

Re: Take Rena Home

I already congratulated Hime for a job well done artwise, but I couldn't neglect thanking the author either. So, congrats, M12. You managed to produce a fun little work that was really easy to go through. And it sort of has me aching to do a Higurashi rewatch. No one will mistake Rena for anyone els...

Re: The Present

Technical Issues: The free graphics don't really work very well, in my opinion, since there's no consistency to them. The art style varies too greatly in both the backgrounds and the character sprites that in the end, this VN could have done better by leaving out the graphics altogether or going wi...

Not at all, but that wasn't much an issue. Nano was a good launch point for the idea, and a good reason to economize on the assets. So in Starlit Sky's case, it was a better starting point than finish line.

Re: [NaNoRenO 2009] Sketchbook

In my book, the best 2009 NaNoRen0 entry I've played. Seconded. What I really like about your games is that they are more than just stories or even just visual novels, they are experiences. A few good friends of mine here love to talk about vns as "experiences" and I find this to be a per...

Re: Catgirl Panic! -- Kuroi Game NaNoRenO 2009

D-Definitely not to my tastes, to be honest. And I definitely agree with Taleweaver about it looking rather sloppily pasted together. Not just the programming of it though, the script ( which I realize is supposed to be intentionally absurd ), just seemed to have been made in a real hurry, with abso...

Re: Heiress II (NaNoRenO 2009)

How much more fortunate can we get, seeing two mikey games in one nano...? I know! Why not have Sensei do the art for one!!! Simply amazing, really. When I heard about Sensei working on a game ( by ATP no less ), I was thrilled and now I can say it wasn't without good reason. I was not disappointed ...

Re: Umineko no Naku Koro ni

And I don't mind Rosa. I feel bad for her, really. When Eva-Beato went after her (Beato's mercy killing was too ;____; for me) and at the end of ep2. Well, the end of ep2 really made me feel for her. This was actually my opinion up to Episode 3, where the tally stood at "Sympathize with: Rosa,...

Re: Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Heh. I don't think I can get away with not posting in this thread... I praise the series with every breath. Episode 4 really was brilliant, but it's a shame the translation has only gotten as far as it has... it's a longer episode with a slower but important start... The only other thing to say is h...

Re: [text] - A Summer Tale

I'm a little sorry that I put this off as long as I did. A lot of fun and great presentation. Took me a while to stumble upon the big finale, and I had to question whether I really was finished after it, but I really did enjoy this experience. Thank you for making this game!

I played this last night and really enjoyed it. Really did. Something about it, especially the first half actually, just resonated with me. So thank you for this. I enjoyed it a lot.

I'm glad everyone seems to like this piece. All the more greater that a piece intended for only two can be enjoyed by far more. I appreciate all the comments and feedback ( both public and private ), especially the short "I really liked it" types... those ones always hit a little harder th...
