Re: How do you draw your Backgrounds
My friend actually makes the linework to my project, and I'm the one who inks and colors it. Some people are better at composition than others. Also, as a 'rule of thirds', one tip would be to never make the corner of the room straight in the center of the page.

Re: Making a horror VN that's actually scary?
From the anime I watch and the mass amount of violence and gore I love to look at, I would say horror comes more within the thought behind it than visually showing it. Like, you can have a person bursting inside out with guts spilling it would just look bloody, or the thought of having that person b...

Re: Drawing consistent characters?
I often draw black and white comics, so I can understand this situation a bit. A lot of it comes from the face, since it's often the first thing we see in an image. Here are a few tips that should help: -hair color: just making one character having a drastic hair shade compared to the rest can resol...

Re: Art Styles
I don't know the right word for the 'style' I like, and yea I am not too fond of generic anime style now too. My inspirations are Tsutomu Nihei, Q. Hayashida, and Mike Mignola I like very loose scribbly stuff, and with Mike's work, I like the concept of implying details without it really being drawn.

Re: Not Sure if I Should Sketch W/Paper or the Computer?
I work both. I know if I constantly work digitally, my traditional skills get rusty, but when I work traditionally a lot, my digital skills get rusty. Probably because of muscle memory, or that fact that you can 'undo' more with one media than another. Especially for someone like me who uses a dip p...

Re: Greeny's Guide to Art Commissions
I read through this thread and there's one thing you didn't mention that I feel is very important to anyone, and it can get worse and worse if you don't get used to it. my tip? YOU CAN SAY NO. To any commission, to any request, you can always refuse. Even if it was paying, and you don't feel comfort...

Destiny Limit is looking for a Programmer
Originally I was going to do the programming, as well as script, color, some graphic design, and do the cutscenes. However, as time goes by, things happen and I need to split the work out a bit more. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll65/PineapplePocky/DLLOGOULTIMATEsmall_zps80dcb5ad.png Synopsis ...

Re: Destiny Limit [action] [adventure] [comedy] [fantasy]
We want to set out a very short demo or video of us playing the very beginning of the story, since there was some confusion of how story paths follow, and also a little advertisement. I'd like your input on which one would be better: 1)if you would like to play the very very beginning of the game fo...
