Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Not regular art related, but decided to put all (non-lazy) versions of DR's logo together. I guess this shows that even with something like graphic design, we improve over time. alllogos.jpg On another note, it seems I've always favored the red color scheme for the main title and a blue color for t...

Re: Death Rule: lost code [Survival/Suspense]
Hi there, glad to hear you liked it! It did seem a bit rushed at times (maybe it could have used some more character development here and there, especially for the little fox girl, Lilly ), but the story being fast-paced was also a positive. Yeah, I've realized now that some of them needed more time...

Re: Simple Persistent UI?
At the start of your game and when at point where you want it to reappear add window show And when you want to hide it, add window hide An example: window show scene bg island e "The UI will remain in place during transitions." scene bg ocean e "But if I want to hide it to show up lat...

Re: What makes a good VN logo?
In your opinion, what makes a great VN logo? Something easy to read while also giving me a good "feel" of what the work entails. This is where font choice is important, because the kind of font you use can say a lot about your work. I can actually explain this a bit with my favorites. Wha...

Re: Death Rule: lost code [Survival/Suspense]
Hijiri, just finished playing death rule, and what an amazing story! Thank you for making such a great experience. It was the first vn I completed, and I loved every bit of it. It is my inspiration for my own projects :D Looking forward to playing more. Awww, inspiring people to make their own thin...

If anyone is taking anything from euphoria, it's how not to write ero dialogue:Kominara wrote:- euphoria (Heavily fetish oriented, and has generally decent ero writing.)
It's more comedy gold than actual eroticism.

Re: Why are you making your current visual novel?
I checked the OP posts of your projects, there is no mention of it being 'Intellectual open source', plenty of people won't feel comfortable making a spin-off or fanfic of your work if they don't you'll condone or even support it. While seeing that it is might motivate some people to keep possible ...

Re: Why are you making your current visual novel?
Original reason: VN's get more attention than straight up writing. My first attempts at releasing my stories were....terrible to say the least. Current reason: I want to inspire someone to take what I've made and possibly expand on what I've done. With my world and its rules clearly defined, I hope ...

Re: Voice Snippets vs Voice Over
To quote an old commercial: http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/050/985/b25.jpg Use voice snippets for normal scenes and use VO for those scenes that need that "oomph." It cuts costs in regards to having the whole game voiced, and still gets the idea of the character across by...

Re: Creating A VN YOU want! (Questions/suggestions thread)
Personally, I think you should just get your ideas onto small pieces of paper, throw them up in the air, and the first three you grab should tell you where to go. Much easier than trying to cater to an infinite number of tastes. But eh, I'll humor you. What about VNs interests you? (Art, story, imme...

Re: Creating more complex transitions or transition animatio
Hi everyone, just asking but other than the current transmission such as 'dissolve' and the likes, what I'm trying to do is get a small image to slowly fade in as it falls from the middle of the screen to the bottom of the screen. It's kind of like a combination of dissolve plus a downwards motion ...

Re: A Massive, Collaborative Visual Novel?
Having learned from previous attempts, let me say this: You can not, will not , and should not do this. It will only end in infighting, people talking shit behind each other's back, someone going power mad, and even threats thrown around. If you're lucky, you'll make one or two new friends. But othe...
