Re: Question about engines

Ren'Py is really not that hard to learn. Honest to goodness. You won't find better support or compatibility, either. If the only reason you're sticking with your engine is because learning new stuff is hard - just learn something new already! The benefits await you. No, it's because I spent four mo...

Re: Question about engines

My reason is that I just know my engine better than RenPy, but not being able to run it on other OS is like... kicking me in the nuts... You're sure your engine is better than Ren'Py? Ren'Py is so powerful, that even people who criticize it day in and day out (e.g. delta from 4LS, now that's a pers...

Question about engines

Well, that's quite strange question... I was thinking about using my own VN engine but since I wrote it using (cough) Game (cough) Maker (cough) it will be playable only on PC with Windows. I'm not sure about Linux and Mac, since when I tried to play GM game on Linux via Wine it didn't even start. S...

Deliberate Distortion (Evangelion fan games series)

Deliberate Distortion (Сознательное Искажение) is a series of Visual Novels by "Hedgehog's Dillema Team". Sadly, it exists only in Russian language and as far as I know, the translaton is not planned yet. The games themselves are Neon Genesis Evangelion fan games (one of few) and... I thin...

Re: Corpse Party:Blood Covered to become Localized

The game was released in 1996 by doujin group. Aaaand it's actually hard to tell if the game was free or commercial. So unless Team Gris Gris bought rights for this game too, it's quite legal to post link. Meh, removed the link anyway. If you want to play, PM me. BTW there is an interesting question...

Re: What would a villain do?

Oh, oh! I have plenty of ideas! -Catch one of them while he's in WC, and then slowly cut his limbs. Then mail his parts to others as a warning. -Call my friend, he's as evil and crazy as I am =D -Build a BFG. Even if it won't work, they'll probably just be scared and go away. -Just take a anti-tank ...

Granted. But it's so big that you can't even fit it on your table.

Re: Corpse Party:Blood Covered to become Localized

If we're lucky, we might get the Corpse Party Trilogy localized. The 2nd game ends with a "To Be Continued" confirming a 3rd game I do believe 2nd game is just a spinoff, starting from one of the 1st game bad end. And if I get it right, translation of 2nd game is under big question, as th...

Re: Languages!

But yeah, the suffixes are... weird, to say the least. What I find really peculiar, though, is the lack of present tense of the verb "am". I mean, what the heck? Nah, it exists, just not used in present tense. So literal translation of "I am" is "Я есть" but in Russian...

Re: Languages!

Ahhh! Is my Russian book lying to me? "Russian is not a difficult language. The grammar is simple and straightforward; Russian words are pronounced more or less as they are written; and word-order presents few difficulties." In that way yes, Russian IS easy. But when you come to a...
