Re: Save screen exiting through X on the window
Is it possible to have Hide() and then return() within the same action block? Something like: imagebutton auto "Assets/UserInterface/close_%s.png" action [Hide("save"), Return(), Play("sound", "Assets/SoundEffects/close.ogg")] I'm not sure if this is even poss...

Re: Best way to Customize the Joystick Menu
Joystick has it's own styles. You can see them by using style inspector, or search "joystick_preferences" on renpy/common folder. Just overwrite these styles. Alternatively, you can create "joystick_preferences" screen. If you create it, then ren'py uses it automatically instead...

Best way to Customize the Joystick Menu
So I'm trying to customize the Joystick Menu and i have a certain design in mind. However trying to get the current implementation, and its very sparse documentation, to play ball just leaves me wanting to tear my hair out. So has anyone customized this screen before, and if so how did you go about ...

EDIT: Finished a logo for @Marionette, I hope you like the colourful theme. :3 And from now on, the default size will be amended to 1000x1000px because 500x500px isn't easy to resize it to bigger size. ;-;

Re: Switching between translations
Thanks, for your help so far. So it turns out i was doing something silly with my example code and that was why it wasn't working, but it still doesn't seem to work with my real issue as its in a python init block. So this works: if _preferences.language == "portuguese": image language1 = ...

Re: Switching between translations
You have to use DynamicDisplayable or ConditionSwith to change images depending on variables then put it in an init block. Alternatively, you can directly show displayables (Text) instead of images (language) using show expression statement. Ok maybe ive confused the matter, that was just supposed ...

Re: Can a variable be used with displayables and im.matrix?
You should be able to do it by defining the variable in an init block and then updating the variable while running the code. When you recalled the part that uses the variable it should use the new variable instead of the old one. You might have to re-show your image for the change to take effect, bu...

Re: Dealing with destructive criticism (aspiring VN creator)
Just gotta learn to take it on the chin. Nobody likes getting bad feedback about thier stuff, but its something you'll have to deal with becuse as long as you're doing something creative, people will always have opnions on it. Good and bad.
